i can't take anyone seriously when they use variants of the phrase "giving x." i always interpret whatever is said as "giving head."

i don't know if you still needed another portrait, but this is steph. i used asesprite and a couple of layers in the project file, so would this still qualify?

@mikematei.bsky.social i think the lupin comparison has been made before. here's my take on it, i guess.

if you've got a modded wii u or 3ds, you can relive the miiverse experience with "pretendo." that's where i originally posted this drawing.

StarFries @starfries.bsky.social · 02/02/2026

i agree. miiverse was a pretty neat idea, even if it was responsible for the witnessing secondhand the insanity of ten-year-old while casually playing mario. the good news is that it still lives on with "pretendo" if you have a modded wii u or 3ds.

the world ends with you ~ a tale in two parts #miiverse #twewy #nintendo #art

the original miiverse poster suggesting readers to play "the world ends with you" and "neo the world ends with you"

two unhinged miiverse responses to the original post. the first reenacts a pivotal scene from the game. the second is a human individual saying, and i quote, "i like men."

no contrast, blinding bright lighting... the icing on the cake is that you can barely make out the text in this image. i also hate how modern nintendo games all have the same, boring ui. all the same fonts, all arranged in the same way.

wow, this was really interesting to watch! i enjoy learning about the inspiration behind other people's work. a wasteland that sits near a metropolis is very unusual, but it feels peaceful compared to the city.

my #castlevania 64 video has been doing pretty well! (at least by my standards.) thought i'd throw a trailer to demonstrate just what kind of psychotic this video is. #art #pizzatower link to full vid: youtu.be/Rt6MImumpHc

happy anniversary, castlevania 64. i wasted more than six months of my life on a video about one of the alleged worst castlevania games. i had to make it all about the jokes because otherwise no one would watch it. i also spent two months just on the art stuff. youtu.be/Rt6MImumpHc

also, the compression makes this look way worse than the export. anyone know any tricks for videos on bluesky?

it's carrie: the magic girl from the castlevania games no one played (the n64 ones). i made this is for a video i'm finishing up. #art #animation #castlevania

nice. that makes sense. i can see the alternative route for drawing hair like that being very time consuming.

StarFries @starfries.bsky.social · 21/02/2025

hey, you're pretty good! what was your technique for hair texturing?

thank you for the suggestions. man baby gaming has become one of my favorite organizations within the past few years, and i value the opinions of their affiliates.

in one hand you hold a cocc. in the other you hold a similar, but censored cocc. which cocc do you choose? #art #animation

that's true, but i feel like it's kind of balanced. not too neat or too messy. some of the rougher aspects gives the image a certain kind of character. in any case, the color and shading is really nice!

#art i made this a long while ago as a thumbnail for a video that goes over everything you can "pet" in super mario 3d world. video link is below for those interested

mario, luigi, princess peach, toad, and rosalina in their iconic cat suits. they are hanging around in the grassland environment. a disembodied hand glove is giving rosalina head pats.

i should probably post more, yeah? here's something i made last year for a youtube video. i'll leave a link to the video below.

a "cute" or "kawaii" blue slime from dragon quest. it's blushing, it's winking, it looks dreamy wearing a bow. i made this for a bit in one of my youtube videos.
