I got the first beat of natural on RA’s FJF and the seventh beat of the super bosses with thief/mystic/ninja/samurai so good start to this year already started a second natural run and got chemist so this should be free but I also got berserker so it’s trying their hardest to make me pay anyway

a bunch of the images are dead on my end idk if that's universal or not but they refuse to load the roster for a bunch of the sections (but not all) otherwise this is a fun read but i could absolutely imagine chrom with a bronze bust that man is a hero

[dks] love lupin, i'll always be happy to see the gang and the shit they get up to. part 4 felt like it was all about trying tons of new things to see what clicked, including animation styles, episode tones and adding main cast. sometimes it really worked! sometimes it didn't. it needed more goemon.

[dks] feels completely weird to post this and not have rewatch attached to it but i've got digimon: the movies baby. i'm real glad it exists. completely weird to see this knowing what the og cut of it is like though i keep waiting for tai's mom to make the most insane shit and hey digimon to hit.

black clover was a ride. the ending arc was super rushed (understandable reasons why but still a shame) and in general after finding its footing the series had a lot of ups and a lot of downs but overall it was pretty good. the soul chain deathmatch is genuinely one of the best shonen moments ever.

[dks] i have finished monogatari first season finally. i've definitely actually seen this before though i remembered several scenes clearly but i had zero memory going in or the in between so i won't tag rewatch. unfortunate but it happens. i'm glad this was big step up from nise.

[dks] god i wish pokemon were fucking real. more of these please, they look so good as these fucking fuzzy little stop motion creatures.

[dks] man, one of the best shows of the decade, an absolute must watch. brings you in with flash and the promise of more and sticks every landing. season 2 will be a must watch, and if they go 2 for 2 it becomes one of the best ever. just beware the cgi in the first few episodes are a little awkward

stardy @stardy.bsky.social · 27/04/2026

[dks] they made me watch it directly after and it was worth it. big step up from road to the top (which was still really good but,) everything seemed to fall into place here. if this and cinderella gray are their level now please make a million more. can't wait to see what they do with kagurabachi.

stardy @stardy.bsky.social · 27/04/2026

[dks] we watched the movie edit instead of the four episodes and you could definitely see where episodes started and ended but it still worked for me, can see how this was probably the big turning point of the franchise. but this is the road to the top, we're not quite there yet. umapyoi umapyoi.

it 100% has some annoying issues but overall i really liked mouse pi, definitely worth the wait from seeing its first stuff back in... i want to say 2023? a little more enemy variety, a little bit more freedom and the ability to replay levels are the only things it needed to be fantastic.

[dks] and speaking of sugar sweet but in the best way we watched code white. almost a perfect side adventure that could fit in the canon and almost a perfect standalone film that could be the only thing you watch from the series, but doesn't fully reach either so i'll stick with it's really good.

100

stardy @stardy.bsky.social · 25/04/2026

sugar sweet but in the best way, just pure iyashikei. knowing it’s only gonna have another 12 episodes makes it an easy pickup but i already know i want more than that. i feel like gapacho.

[dks] clock told me both in advance it's an 8/10 and also it's the greatest show ever made and she was completely right. a mess in the best possible way and you can immediately see everything that everything that came after took from it. loved it.

[dks] if i don't get a season 3 i'm going to fucking die

130

stardy @stardy.bsky.social · 16/04/2026

[dks] the ed kept telling me to stop thinking about it stop stop thinking about it why my mind overclouded but i think it fucking knows why

120

stardy @stardy.bsky.social · 15/04/2026

attempt 8 i've beat roark for the first time every death in this fight was required except maybe slugma i could have maybe saved slugma if i knew sandshrew could get the final hit but my aron just got crit and i thought the fight was over

110

stardy @stardy.bsky.social · 15/04/2026

good two episodes to go out on and if you count it all with season 3 i think they went out on top. i will miss these funny little guys

131

stardy @stardy.bsky.social · 14/04/2026

the best of the worst but not a high bar and feels like they had zero plans for a serialisation. which makes sense as a one shot that got popular so they upgraded it to a full series, but you’d think they’d come up with something before they did. never felt bad like gonron or mage though. just ok.

100

stardy @stardy.bsky.social · 14/04/2026

still really liked S2 but I don’t think it topped S1. skyegg arc was great but this season it felt like the main cast got sidelined for MHA hype moments (that were hype 100%) and an entire flashback arc that the mainline desperately needed (which was also great). but it’s meant to be the other thing

stardy @stardy.bsky.social · 14/04/2026

[dks] season 2 was more spy family and that's good. nice to see it do a full arc in this season too. just code white and season 3 to go.
