im glad sega got around to making a switch 2 port of frontiers, i think it really needed one, but idk zero upgrade path for previous owners of the switch 1 edition plus being a game key card is a huge bummer imo 😭

Mini-thread for ranting about some OC outfit designs bc I suck at this, but first context about the purpose of these fits in alt because it's gonna be a long paragraph lmao.

Context: my DND OCs, Simone, Hector, Tommy & Vivian who were in a band called Heralds of Spring, lived in an anti-magic empire for some months, which was a problem because Simone, Hector & Vivian, the non-locals, were performing magically enhanced music. So in public they had to act like normal musicians. Though in secret, they would perform magical music alone or in secret venues with other foreigners or rebels, whom they trusted (basically in these communities people would perform magic, use / trade magical items or discuss politics, and protect each other from the inquisition). To be extra safe, the band decided to start wearing costumes when performing here, such that in case outsiders saw them, they wouldn't recognize their true selves. Ultimately that didn't help them when it was Tommy who betrayed them and they got ambushed by the inquisition which he tipped off.

Design wise, I thought it would be cool if each of them had a costume inspired by a bird (by outfit color, masks, fake wings), and for no reason at all I also had them all wear flowers attached to their masks, and have a gray gem on their mask (might change this tho). But the thing is, my first designs were basic as fuck, probably not even historically accurate clothing. I just liked drawing people with vests lmao.

Anyways, my idea was that they started off with cheaper, plain clothes, but then upgrade their costumes later as they get richer, so far I've drawn Hector & Tommy with upgraded fits but not the rest. And I may or may not also adjust the basic designs. And of course, nobody except Simone's og outfit even had a full-body view.

Also, essential info:
- Hector's costume is inspired by blue jays
- Simone's costume is inspired by starlings
- Tommy's costume is inspired by robins
- Vivian's costume is inspired by northern cardinals

King of the Sedkon: Mendax - Salg - [—] Somehow in the almost-decade since creating this character, I’ve never made a render of him 🥀 So i fixed that lol #shriWOSart #dragon #dragonoc #ocsky #fantasy #digitalart

A digitally painted portrait of a green dragon - Armander Mendax, also known as Salg. The view is from behind as he turns his head to look back at the viewer with a piecing purple eye, his expression is haughty and judgemental. He is almost entirely cast in shadow except for the top of his horns and the far side of his neck, and the large scaled plates down his spine curve around towards the camera. Between these scales is a vibrant, purple glow. The background is dark with a neon halo framing Salg’s head.
