@fesshole.bsky.social three-way switches are a problem. My wife doesn’t care that all switches should be facing in the same direction on a set of wall switches. She just randomly has two facing up while one faces down…and all the lights are off. Monster.

I swear to you, I have completed four marathons, many half marathons, and even more 10k’s. But my feet and back have NEVER hurt like they do now after 5 days of walking around Paris museums and attractions! #running #Paris

Today while out #running I was scared. the sidewalk diverged from the road by about 50-60 yards. Tree lined on one side. I approach someone walking and he stays in the center of the sidewalk. I pass him and wave but he stared at me like I was prey. Scary dude. Kept looking back after I passed 😳

You know what really gets me? My VO2 max was the highest it’s ever been on the day of my half on 8/8. I took a light week after the race and it dropped .2 as a result. Okay. I get it. Today I ran an 8 mile pace run and I look at my stats after…it dropped .1 while I was watching! 😠

I have a question for the #running community here. I am adding some speed work to this cycle. While my VO2 max is rising, I find that on days with speed workouts (I’m doing hill repeats) my HRV is in the basement. Which is more important to focus on in your opinion?

My first race of the season - the Heart Mini 15k. Came out WAY too fast, second mile was all downhill so too fast again. By mile 3 I’m thinking “screw it! Let’s see what happens!” CRUSHED last year’s time at this race! Our brains keep us from achieving what’s possible. Happy Sunday! #running

I took 6 weeks off from #running over the holidays. On Jan 1 I started back. Got two weeks in and 12” of snow fell in my area. 2 week pause. Started back 3 weeks ago and have stuck with the plan. I know it takes me about 3-4 weeks to get back but I’m ready to not get my butt kicked!
