Simply Streisand - Barbra Streisand. One of my favorite Barbra LPs. Full of classic songs with great arrangements. This is a 1967 Columbia Stereo press with the original booklet of Streisand’s discography. The booklet is rare. #vinyl #nowspinning #vinylrecords #vinylcommunity #vinylsky

More - Pink Floyd. An early 70s Odeon Japanese pressing on red wax. The best pressing of this album. Not only the quality of the pressing but the package is much nicer than its UK/US counterparts. A gatefold with a small attached booklet. #vinyl #nowspinning #vinylrecords #vinylcommunity #vinylsky

Lots of 90s music was pressed in Brazil, Argentina, Columbia. The quality can be hit or miss. But in some cases it might be the only place that album was pressed on vinyl. I have some Garth Brooks 90s LPs that were only pressed down there at time of release.

Nate @stanleycup3533.bsky.social · 30/01/2026

As someone in North America- UK, France, Germany and Japan. Rare 90s records can be found in Greece, but lots of counterfeits there as well. Shops in these countries tend to be solid. They also have lots of expats from all over the world so they have good imports as well as their native pressings.

120

Nate @stanleycup3533.bsky.social · 30/01/2026

My tips would be to only get hard to find or expensive LPs and you don’t want to ship or buy online. Make sure you can transport them safely home. It’s cheaper to use an extra luggage bag than ship them home. Make friends with the shop keeper! Having someone in country to find LPs for you is a plus!

I’ve not posted my vinyl purchase wrap like I normally do. 146 LPs purchased this year. That does not break down boxsets, Ozzy set had 16 “albums”, so it’s more than that number. Ozzy was also the #1 in most acquired (including Sabbath). Good year. More than I thought. #vinyl #vinylsky

The Piper at the Gates of Dawn - The Pink Floyd. This is a French Pathe Marconi stereo repress from the 1980s. It’s usually my go to when I want to spin this full analogue. I don’t like spinning my early copies a lot. #nowspinning #vinyl #vinylrecords #vinylcommunity #PinkFloyd #vinylsky

Human Clay- Creed. A 2019 repress. Surprisingly this was pressed in 1999 as a double LP. The master is ok. The loudness EQ is very apparent. A typical issue during this era. The pressing is clean and flat. #vinyl #nowspinning #vinylrecords #vinylrecords #Creed #vinylsky

Exile on Mainstream - Matchbox 20. A terrific album. A 2022 repress on white vinyl. It sounds pretty solid for a 00’s master and being pressed by GZ. It’s flat too which is a miracle from GZ. #vinyl #nowspinning #vinylcommunity #vinylsky

It does sound quite good. It is a normal vinyl pressing on both sides “glued” together by Bad Worlds technique. So it’s not a shitty picture disc layer attached to a liquid filled disc.
