I'm actually gearing up to make a "Scalemail for absolute beginners" series. So if you have any other questions, that would be *super* helpful!

6/6 Video including satisfying clicks.

110

Stalara @stalara.bsky.social · 08/10/2026

5/? Step 4: wiggle it, just a little bit - Wiggle back and forth getting the *click* a few times and then reduce wiggling until you've finessed the ring closed.

100

Stalara @stalara.bsky.social · 08/10/2026

4/? Also, slightly push on the pliers so the edges touch each other and you hear a *click* as you are moving past the closure point.

100

Stalara @stalara.bsky.social · 08/10/2026

3/? Step 3: When you are ready to close hold the same hand stable and rotate *past* the point of closure. Rings have spring and will want to move back to their original shape so we need to over compensate.

100

Stalara @stalara.bsky.social · 08/10/2026

2/? Step two: Opening the ring correctly - Position the pliers so that you have max contact on both sides with the opening in the middle. Hold one hand stable and rotate the other forward to open the ring *just* enough for what you are doing. Rings will warp if you try to open them too wide.

Stalara @stalara.bsky.social · 08/10/2026

lol! Step one: Good rings - Do you know who makes you're rings? Metal alloy and temper can make a huge difference. My preferred vendor is Chainmaile Joe. 1/?

Spent the morning making a bunch of weave swatches because I couldn’t decide what I wanted to use for the strap for this drape. I’m please to announce that I’ll be going with the unnecessarily complicated one, as is tradition. 😅

Senator Murray, we all know it’s just a matter of time before ICE makes there way here. It terrifies me daily waiting for the news. There is no “common sense” when it comes to ICE. They need to be abolished. Please please please stand your ground. They can not be funded.

As of this morning, Starbucks workers across the country are officially ON STRIKE. And we're prepared for this to become the biggest and longest ULP strike in Starbucks history. Say #NoContractNoCoffee with us: DON'T BUY STARBUCKS for the duration of our open-ended ULP strike! $SBUX

Don't Buy Starbucks! At any location, today and beyond, while workers are on ULP strike!

ok I always make a full on VAT of soup so feel free to cut down the recipe as you see fit. Let me know if you have any questions and I'm glad you are taking the time to take care of yourself. <3

<3 Chicken Noodle Soup <3

Ingredients:

1 bag Carrots - Cut into half rounds
1 head Celery - Chopped
2 large Onions (White or Yellow) - Chopped
1lb Chicken Breast
1lb chicken Thighs
Better Than Bouillon Chicken
1 Tbl Garlic Salt
1 tsp White Pepper
1 package - Egg Noodles or pasta of choice

Optional - Other veggies like zucchini, cabbage, and Broccoli. All Veggies are welcome in this soup!

Recipe:

Place chopped veggies, Chicken Breast, and Chicken Thigh in a large pot
Fill with water until just covered and heat on Medium High
Add Garlic Salt, White Pepper, and Bouillon according to directions on the package
Heat until water begins to boil and then turn heat down to a simmer and cover
Let soup simmer for at least 15 minutes. (It’s best if you can let it go for an hour or two.)
10 minutes before serving, taste the broth and add Garlic Salt, White Pepper, and Bouillon to taste
Fish out the chicken and shred using two forks and return it to the pot (If it hasn’t fallen apart in the broth already)
Add pasta directly to the post and cook according to the directions on the package.
Grab a blanky and some comfy socks and enjoy!
