Kids are occupying secundary schools, even primary school children rallied for Palestine on the first school day. Rome's mayor had to cut ties with Israeli water managment company Mekorot.

What happened yesterday night, October 1, was maybe even more impressive. A rally that had been called only one hour before, became an astonishing crowd of maybe 20,000 or more, marching towards the city center at 23, midnight, 1am.

The square - a huge esplanade in front of Termini central station, named after 500 Italian colonial soldiers killed by African anticolonial forces in Dogali - was already occupied by a permanent encampment for Palestine. They had renamed it "Piazza Gaza". Decolonize street names!

As soon as the #GlobalSumudFlotilla was illegally attacked by the Israeli army in international waters, at around 8.30 pm, a call to action circulated everywhere. Everyone I know left all they were doing and reached the city center. All ages, all kinds of people.
