This was right before I said “I do” to the beautiful man I’ve been married to for 19 years. I felt my most beautiful 😍

56 years around the sun today! Although they got my ass in jury duty today, I took me to lunch and had a wonderful glass of sangria. It’s a gorgeous Summer day in the NYC!

In honor of Black History Month, my family visited the newly renovated Studio Museum of Harlem. I took a pic of this beautiful painting. “Lawdy Mama” 1969 by Barkley L. Hendricks

Just ordered a plant stand with built in grow light. Here’s a picture of all the plants I grew last year (a building was obstructing the sunlight). First time using grow lights. It truly helps.

Picture of beautiful plants hanging and some resting on ledge in orange planters.

My 7-year-old niece asked me to show her a picture of the real Santa. Showed her 👇🏽. She asked me why does he look drunk 😂

It was my birthday week and I was driving back from brunch with my best friend who came up from Georgia. Can’t see her but she’s next to me in the passenger seat. Beautiful day.

Unfortunately, I switched salon locations so I may never see him again. But you’re correct, I should’ve talked to him. His fits were always on point though. Here’s another photo I snuck and took of “the smoking man”.

This man used to sit and smoke a cig on the bus stop bench in front of my salon all the time. Don’t know him or his name but I’m sure he’s got some stories. It was on a warm day in March of 2021. On this day I snuck a pic of “the smoking man”.

Black and white photo of an older Black man with white shirt and overalls and baseball cap sitting on a bus bench with a lit cigarette in hand.

Took a picture of this bird today. Not your average NYC bird. Its wings were beautifully blue and it looks like it has on a helmet. Interesting…

The Christian Science Monitor. I wonder if those same farmers, knowing what they know now, would vote for Kamala…but didn’t farmers go through this same shit under Trump’s first administration? #FAFO

In the early ‘90s my team commissioned Kadir Nelson to create a piece for our Black History Month celebration. This piece by Kadir is displayed prominently in our home. Kadir is a national treasure.

Took this photo on my way home tonight. The moon is full but appears so small behind this building. It was actually big and beautiful. Amazing how it so brightly illuminates. It’s a crisp and clear Winter’s night in NYC.

Bright, full moon shining behind a tall building in New York City.

Took this photo in the Bahamas. The juxtaposition between the gate and the beach is like an unwritten haiku.

Picture of a thinly wired gate with rope on the top of the gate. In the backdrop is a beach with many shades of beautiful blue water and an island further away. Taken in the Bahamas.
