I wanted to draw something where I had to just draw what I see and not what I think I see. I think it’s good practice for doing portraits etc. Ripples 7”x11” Saunders Waterford HP Photo credit with permission from Michal Boubin (iStock)

Pretty Miss Stella, she is so sweet and a pleasure to draw. I met her to take the reference photos and immediately fell in love. 🥰

After 70+ hours (120+ if you count previous attempts) “Sinfonia di Colore” (Symphony of Colour) is complete. I am very happy with this and it is 100% colour pencil on pastelmat. 15”x21”. This is from my own reference picture.

If this piece looks familiar, it should. My first couple attempts didn’t meet my standards so here we are again but bigger to be able to get details in. This is 15”x21”. It’s been such a challenge. Never give up. This reference is my own picture.

This is a favourite piece of mine, it’s called Thoughtful Innocence. The intensity in her eyes says it all.

2024 was a really productive year. I completed 55 pieces, 11 of those pieces were 16”x20” or larger. These are some of the pieces I’ve completed this year. Thank you to everyone for all the support. Here’s to 2025 being even better!🥰
