Spencer Ruark @ssruark.bsky.social · 07/09/2026He looked ROUGH yesterday. I don’t really think he’s at the level and he’s so different stylistically that I don’t think he’s the ideal backup either. That said, let’s have him bag a goal or two on Wednesday. 000

Spencer Ruark @ssruark.bsky.social · 13/08/2026Well, in the case of Saudi at least, it’s not too hard to see the motivation… 000
Spencer Ruark @ssruark.bsky.social · 12/08/2026I’m not sure now is the time for that conversation but I do think it’s worth discussing at some point. The fact that our record sale is Ox for £35mil is pretty staggering/befuddling to me. Side note: maybe Chelsea/Man U are “leaking” MLS info in hopes of undercutting value? 100
Spencer Ruark @ssruark.bsky.social · 12/08/2026One thing that I still can’t wrap my head around is why Chelsea and ManU? I understand sounding out value. I even understand exploring a sale. I don’t like it but I understand. But why these two teams specifically? Greater need for MLS skill lies elsewhere… 010
Spencer Ruark @ssruark.bsky.social · 10/08/2026Also, sort of related, I was surprised @arseblog.com seemed so keen on Nico Williams on today’s pod… to me, he seems pretty similar to Martinelli and, maybe even more so, Madueke. The fact that he’s got a reasonably low release clause and no one is rushing to pay it says it all (for me) 140
Spencer Ruark @ssruark.bsky.social · 10/08/2026I could be way off base, but to me it seems like Martinelli could be the one to benefit the most from Bruno’s line breaking passing. This + a lack of clear cut improvements available in the market lead me to want to stand pat at LW for now. 260
Spencer Ruark @ssruark.bsky.social · 02/08/2026FWIW, I read Delaney’s “if ambitious transfer plans come off” as meaning Vini, not Bruno. Bruno doesn’t seem ambitious to me, just seems like plans. Vini, I can understand needing to make some sales to offset… tho I would be crushed to lose Myles. He’s going to be elite, I think. 110
Spencer Ruark @ssruark.bsky.social · 29/07/2026Non-binding meaning this is just a statement of opposition? 2121
Spencer Ruark @ssruark.bsky.social · 23/07/2026It’s just common sense. Why should I have to see an advert for medicine that I then am supposed to ask my doctor about? Could not be more backwards and yet we accept it as normal here. 000

Spencer Ruark @ssruark.bsky.social · 18/07/2026Fair enough. Not exactly the journalistic standard there, I agree. I saw in the Athletic article that James said Roger’s was one of Arsenal’s top targets. Some mild confirmation there, but James also clarifies that Arsenal felt the price got out of hand. On to Barcola, etc. 🤷🏼♂️ 100
Spencer Ruark @ssruark.bsky.social · 18/07/2026You could be right. I thought Fabrizio Romano reported it as well. 100
Spencer Ruark @ssruark.bsky.social · 18/07/2026It was reported that he was our #1 target tho. I can decide to go either way on this. Be happy because we decided not to go over our valuation. Or concerned that we lost out on our top target. 🤷🏼♂️ 100

Spencer Ruark @ssruark.bsky.social · 03/07/2026I get what you mean but I also feel that Gyokeres and Eze were essential to us winning the title. Sort of an odd debut season for those two in that way. Eager to see what season 2 holds for them, especially Gyokeres with (hopefully) additional options to spell him some. 000

Spencer Ruark @ssruark.bsky.social · 17/04/2026Gonna need to find something else — I think it’s there for us, it’s all to play for, but let’s see what the team comes with on Sunday. 000
Spencer Ruark @ssruark.bsky.social · 17/04/2026As an Indiana Pacer fan, I’m already triggered at the fear of our star player tearing his Achilles and missing the next season… while coming in 2nd Truly, with how the team has been playing and how long Bukayo has been out, I don’t think him being magically fit for Sunday would be the difference. 110
Spencer Ruark @ssruark.bsky.social · 16/04/2026I don’t think he’s saying that would be better, but he’s pushing back on your judgment of it as a good season. Based on how poorly they started, sure. Based on expectations at the start, nah. 000

Spencer Ruark @ssruark.bsky.social · 13/04/2026Would take Eze + Havertz/Odegaard/Saka in attacking midfield with Rice at the 6 right now… actually wouldn’t mind a look at Trossard in AMF while the others recover, he has the technical quality to connect us I think. What do you think of that? 110

Spencer Ruark @ssruark.bsky.social · 11/04/2026Upon reviewing the run in behind White for their goal, it seems more of an issue with Noni so when I remove that from the strikes against White I think he was actually OK. Noni does not play White’s overlapping runs which is his superpower on offense. 000
Spencer Ruark @ssruark.bsky.social · 11/04/2026Zubi was solid. White, Noni, Havertz, and maybe Martinelli are the ones who seem a bit off of their best. 100
Spencer Ruark @ssruark.bsky.social · 10/04/2026The tactical urbanism in Fletcher Place seemed to be working well, too. Alas, it’s gone as well. Seems this city is committed to avoiding its own potential. 000
Spencer Ruark @ssruark.bsky.social · 07/04/2026Feels to me like most of the team is either gassed or timid, but, sadly, he doesn’t stand out to me in particular as checked out or off the pace… 😞 010
Spencer Ruark @ssruark.bsky.social · 07/04/2026I’d like to see Dowman, Havertz, and Odegaard on the pitch at the same time for an extended part of this coming half. 110
Spencer Ruark @ssruark.bsky.social · 07/04/2026But why? Is it just mentality or fatigue or what? No one seems to have line breaking quickness. The press only looked super lively for about 5mins that half. I have to admit, Rice looked as shattered at half time as he normally does at full time. Not great to see. 010

Spencer Ruark @ssruark.bsky.social · 25/03/2026Staggering to me that a common sense approach like this is reported to essentially be DOA. How about we start assessing everything through the framework of: - does this make us more healthy? - does this make our planet more healthy? 010
Spencer Ruark @ssruark.bsky.social · 23/03/2026I’m with you. Similarly I think Timber is great but historically White has given us a bit more going forward… maybe he’s been mainly left out due to fitness but it’s easy to assume we have erred on the side of caution. If we win the league, then so be it. Of course. 100
Spencer Ruark @ssruark.bsky.social · 23/03/2026If so, I think we’ll see a lot less of Hincapie at LB. Calafiori, and MLS frankly, seem to have more on-ball dynamism that can help us break lines. May open our defense up a bit but that’s where I see this type of approach leading. 100
