Well, takes a bit to get used to after the other name. But it seems thematic and maybe a bit less generic and tropey. Like every fantasy setting has thieves in black cowls, but Midnight Toll sounds like an in-setting slang word, reminds me of the "Iron Price" in ASOIAF.

Das mitunter deprimierendste am Umgang mit der Klimakrise ist: Wenn man mit Umweltökonomen spricht, sagen die: "Das wäre alles locker machbar, wenn der politische Wille da wäre". Auch ohne große Einbußen für den Wohlstand. Einfach nur ordentlich besteuern & regulieren.
Aber je länger wir warten oder gar zurückrudern, desto drastischer werden in Zukunft die Maßnahmen sein müssen. Und irgendwann ist es halt zu spät. Das ist alles so unnötig, dass es weh tut.

Okay, I'll come out and say it: Minotaurs in #ttrpg are usually given skills in navigating labyrinths. But: Not only did a human leave the labyrinth while the Minotaur was in there for years, labyrinths aren't even supposed to confuse you, those are mazes. Minotaurs are worse in orientation.

You might go with 8, if you have ideas for it. So Tough and Strong would both be based on Strength etc. I know there is Everyday Heroes trying to d20-modernize 5e. I don't know how well it performs, but there are interesting ideas in this one.

I get the feeling that 4th is mostly considered a failure. 3rd is close to the same fate, although it was not at the time (see d20). Posterity seems to view it as a necessary step towards the promised land of 5th, but ultimately in need of overcoming.

That's my philosophy, too. If I would otherwise spend or earn a single cent, I don't use AI. But for a home game, illustrating stuff, especially for kids, I feel justified in using AI. I mean, if I do a google search or use AI is mostly the same to me.

I kinda stole that in my design. In this game, PCs can always buy extra dice with points, but they have some thing through which they channel this. Like a wizard uses their magic to gain this bonus, a ranger their animal companion. And everyone is encouraged to explain how a boar helps you climb.

I always like when the group is asked to come up with stuff, like framing a scene in Fiasco. Another example would be Devil's Bargains. These work better with more players. Basically everything in the vein of "explain to me how this happens".

Don't get me started on fan-written song lyrics... As a teacher, I see that people have more or less hard times writing correctly. I kind of see why people can't be bothered to care in their free time. But pros? They have to care! My most hated one (pretty typical in RPGs) is hoard/horde.

In my experience it's usually that older generations just claim to be unaffected by that. People tended to sweep these things under the rug to keep up appearances, especially to the kids.

That's the thing, she definitively had the moves. Yet to me it was Fisto, Ram-Man, Man-at-Arms and Banged-my-Head-against-a-Locker-Girl. I mean they made a point of Adam not recalling her name. I did like her, to me, her potential was wasted in how she was introduced.

I liked it, too. It's a fine line to take the setting seriously, but not deny the camp. Personally, I didn't care about Dian and that's bad, bc now she feels like "the token girl". I think if she had a nickname and a wackier gun like she had always been in MOTU, it would have been better.
