I like science trivia, but this one isn’t correct. Yellow doesn’t really sit near the middle of the visible spectrum. Yellow highlighters don’t photocooy on b&w copiers. That’s why they are more common. This is unrelated to colorblindness.

In Sesotho one says “it’s raining cows and people” to indicate a strong downpour. Here, we say “it’s raining cats and dogs.” I tested it and Claude does not know that idiom. So the AI check works in that case. Interesting.

Do you mean a culturally specific reference? Like not shaking hands across a doorway is bad luck or rude (Eastern Europe)? These may not “translate” but substitutes can be found. Words and phrases can always be translated by a competent translator.
