🌍 #Iran's digital isolation is now entering its 77th day as the internet blackout passes 1824 hours. The measure presents an emerging mental health risk to the public, who are largely cut off from online platforms, communications, and normal interaction with the outside world.
Graph from NetBlocks showing network connectivity in Iran from 24 February 2026 to 15 May 2026. The y-axis represents normalized connectivity, ranging from 0% to 100%, and the x-axis represents the dates. The green line representing Iran's connectivity is high through the initial time period, with a sharp drop on the morning of 28 February. The continued drop in connectivity aligns with a nation-scale internet blackout imposed by authorities after joint military strikes by the US and Israel. A brief restoration was observed on 18 March. The minimum and current connectivity levels are indicated as 1% and 1%, respectively. The chart has a dark background with a red horizontal arrow labeled 'SHUTDOWN' indicating the disruption period, and the NetBlocks logo in the lower left corner with the Mapping Internet Freedom slogan.

📨 At 1080 hours, #Iran's internet shutdown continues to harm lives and livelihoods as the country enters its 46th day without international access. Despite a slight widening of the whitelist system, Iranians have to take risks just to get a message through to the outside world.

This is Amir-hossein Hatami. Born in 2007. He was executed this morning in Iran. Only 18 years old. His crime? Demanding Freedom. #DigitalBlackOutIran

Every #Nowuz, our year began with video calling family to celebrate while apart. This year is the first year with no way to contact our loved ones inside Iran. For more than 20 days, the Islamic Republic has completely cut off the internet and phone calls to Iran. #DigitalBlackoutIran

It has been THIRTEEN DAYS since the government shut down the internet in #Iran. Meanwhile, there are no alarms to notify people of any attacks, and no internet to receive the alerts or updates. #DigitalBlackoutIran

Over 12,000 feared dead after Iran protests, as video shows bodies lined up at morgue
Information trickling out of Iran suggests a far deadlier crackdown on protesters than previously reported.

It's now been 44 hours of complete black out. The Iranian government has cut off all communication channels for the people of #Iran. We can't contact our families inside. We have seen what has happened the last time such a #DigitalBlackoutIran happened: 1500 people were slaughtered in three days.
