Children who are survivors and casualties of the residential & boarding school system implemented by the Canadian and United States government's Department of Indian Affairs. It is estimated that more than 3,000 Native American children lost their lives while in the custody of the U.S. Government between 1868 and 1970.
Today we can educate ourselves of the negative impacts of this era on our Indigenous communities and honor the memory of those who never made it back to their homelands and families.

Singing Resistance Tucson joined Good Neighbor Interfaith Coalition at a 2nd Saturday Vigil for victims of ICE kidnappings. This morning we met at El Super where ICE has taken some of our community members. We sang, we cried, and we strengthened our mission of protecting our neighbors.
