My very first Moon capture, from many years ago. Taken through a junky old department store telescope with a first generation iphone… my how times have changed… #astrophotography #astronomy #moon

Up close and personal with our Moon. It looks so smooth and round when you look up at night, but her surface bears the scars of protection.✨🔭 #astrophotography #astronomy #moon

Testing the Dwarf 3’s Milky Way capture and stacking capabilities last night… it is impressive! Full moon, no dark frames taken and stacked onboard the Dwarf in its Stellar Studio editing software the test result is far better than I expected!✨🔭 #astrophotography #astronomy #milkyway #photography

A very tiny M51 Whirlpool Galaxy from Dwarf testing the other night. Definitely the smallest version I have shot!😂 but how amazing is it that this little scope can get this image with the push of a few buttons on a tablet?? Image 3 is from my full sized rig for comparison.✨🔭 #astrophotography #space

Cloudy tonight🙄 so here is last nights test with the Dwarf 3. M3, a globular cluster 34,000 light years from Earth in Canes Venatici with over 500,000 stars. Impressed by this little scope again, just 7 minutes data!✨🔭 #astrophotography #astronomy #space #telescope #canada #science

Early testing with the Dwarf 3 smart scope. This is 300 30 second long exposures on M101, the Pinwheel Galaxy over 20 million light years away! This tiny little scope (3lbs!) is a powerhouse for sure! At around $500 it is a simple and fun to use telescope/camera for anyone!✨🔭 #astrophotography

Yesterday I got a first hand look at the devastation of the Northern Saskatchewan wildfires… this was the view for over 100km. The once thick, beautiful forest reduced to ash. This fire was human caused. Monstrous malicious intent, so disturbing. 😞 #wildfire #saskatchewan #disaster #forestfire

I love the new tools in Siril 1.4.2, they are powerful AI based, but there is something to be said for that old manual touch and eye. This is my M101 reprocessed with my old workflow. To me it’s just better, maybe thats personal bias! Opinions? #astrophotography #astronomy #photography #siril #space

The sad effects of suburban light pollution. This is my backyard at 10:30pm. Night no longer exists. This is nuisance lighting. People think it makes things safer lighting everything up when in reality there is no evidence to support that. BE A GOOD NEIGHBOUR!!! #astronomy #astrophotography
