Hello React Native community 👋 At Kindred, we'd like to start sharing code between our Expo and NextJS apps. More than just utils/hooks, but UI as well. What would be the best way to do so? - monorepo: turborepo? - UI styling: Tamagui? NativeWind? bare RNW? something else? What do y'all recommend?

Can anyone on the @bsky.app mobile team (@samuel.bsky.team @hailey.at?) able to talk about the choice of building an ad-hoc styling/theming system instead of using something like Nativewind or Restyle?

React Native. Come for the cross-platform, stay for the hot-reload.

Has anyone tried to automatically submit their React Native app with @expo.dev for App Store and Play Store review with EAS?

Does someone remember a 3rd party service that's offering faster/bundle-splitting @expo.dev / React Native OTA updates? Or did I dream this?

I recommend subscribing to @sebastienlorber.com's newsletter thisweekinreact.com. This helps me reduce doom scrolling on x and bsky looking for React and React Native news.

@swmansion.com's Reanimated and Gesture Handler are a delight to play with. The learning curve is a little steep at first (interpo-what? runOnJS?) but once you learn it, you want to add micro interactions everywhere. One of the best libs in the #react-native ecosystem.

That's the kind of app review you want to see when you wake up in the Morning 🤩. BTW we're hiring senior/staff #reactnative devs (US and Canada): jobs.ashbyhq.com/kindred/91cb... DM me if you're interested
