I get into this weird cycle of where a sale comes but I don't buy anything because I'm deep Fire Emblem. Then I finish the game and the sale is over, so I think "oh I'll wait until it's on sale next time." Then Ocarina of Time comes out during the Winter Sale and I never get to play Crow County.

The real danger is that you can now buy a subscription to a tool that makes it easy for someone with no experience to automate things. Like ddos attacks, faking job applications, spreading misinformation and harassing people online. To use the movie analogy, it's less Terminator and more Lord of War

I occasionally get asked about AI and the dangers, it going rogue, etc. Computers are inputs and outputs and what's being described is a computer doing what it was programmed to do. It didn't decide to hack, it was directed to. It's putting your car in steer assist and going to sleep.

This alone is the number one reason I have never tried to start a business. Supporting a family and paying for your own health insurance on variable pay is too much of a risk. To tell devs to just start a studio, might as well tell them to win the lottery. There's a reason there's only one Stardew

This and Twilight Princess seemed to go for the gritty style of the time, so I like what they are going for here to keep in line with that. It reminds me of that WiiU tech demo from a decade ago and then Gamecube one from before that

A lot of people were saying it was fake, but I've seen lots of food trucks using AI photos and it was the same thing - meat and onions looking like bugs, egg sandwiches looking like cursed sponges. I don't understand how you look at that think "yeah, that's gonna get them here"

What made me fall off was the roster made to repetitive match ups. Unlocking a character took a long time but I'd unlock one and I'd end up not really liking how they played, which led to less opportunities to experiment. But the gameplay itself was very fun, they had a good foundation in there

I see a lot of people pointing out that those who use AI and spent a similar amount of time on the hw didn't do worse as a kind of gotcha, but I think it's pretty damning too. Expensive software provides negative or no benefit?

I really disliked how you would in several occasions get a special sword as a part of the story and it was always worse than the random sword you've been using for the last hour. It felt like the looting was jammed into the game last minute

If there was a game that I'd describe as "it insists upon itself" it's Disco Elysium. Maybe it gets better but I couldn't get last the first hour. I tried it again a year later and died with zero understanding that was even possible and was forced to start from the very beginning again. No thanks

I've been really into the Fire Emblem series lately, I didn't realize how much I prefer the tactics vs JRPG turn based combat. I love when a genre gets unlocked for me and I can go back and dig into all the classics!
