SquishyPalu @squishypalu.bsky.social · 18/03/2026Granted it's hard to judge how it'll effect the plot considering show much of what was shown was in a literal sizzle reel. It's just a little concerning especially since I've had this thought for a bit and they only thing they're shown since is more scenes with just as little connective tissue. 100
SquishyPalu @squishypalu.bsky.social · 18/03/2026That and how Miyamoto described the film will "have events happening one after the other" in the direct. I didnt think much of it then but so much of what they've shown makes me worried they meant that less as "quicker paced" and more "we couldnt figure out how to tie all of this together." 100
SquishyPalu @squishypalu.bsky.social · 18/03/2026Like they keep showing the scene in marketing where Yoshi meets the Odyssey T-Rex but they never explained why Mario and Luigi are babies in that scene. On top of the weird ass SMB2 scene we still have no context for and they just teased the Pikmin are gonna be in it. 100
SquishyPalu @squishypalu.bsky.social · 18/03/2026I feel like every time I see new news about the Mario movie, they announce 10 new characters who will be in it, with the voice talent of three of them and 2 two settings. Meanwhile all I know about the plot is "Bowser Jr. has a big ass mech" and nothing about what he's doing with it 101
SquishyPalu @squishypalu.bsky.social · 10/03/2026I hope you have an UNhappy Mario Day!!!! I fucking HATE Mario!!! RAAAAAAAAAH!!!!!! 000
SquishyPalu @squishypalu.bsky.social · 04/03/2026I'm getting two vastly different stories from the development here. They wanted a shadowdrop but based on how fast the team imploded, I'm questioning if they thought the game would blow up overnight? Could be reading into it wrong but if I'm not, that sounds dead on arrival to me. 200
SquishyPalu @squishypalu.bsky.social · 04/03/2026Seeing Highguard get shut down, and I'm starting to get the hunch that these games might be given unrealistic expectations performance wise. I don't know, something about laying off a majority of the team two weeks in cuz the game underperformed despite it being a planned shadowdrop makes me think. 110

SquishyPalu @squishypalu.bsky.social · 11/02/2026Been helping another new person learn how to make flats in Blender. It genuinely feels nice to help people learn how to use it so they can make what they wanna make, but it admittedly makes me feel like I became the flattening fetish community version of the car mechanic using the creeper. 160

SquishyPalu @squishypalu.bsky.social · 27/01/2026I genuinely have no idea how people play Minecraft solo. Everything about the game is so much more fun once you get a DND type group of friends to play with 170
SquishyPalu @squishypalu.bsky.social · 25/12/2025Every day I feel more and more validated that I deleted Twitter on a frustrated whim. Name one non-insufferable person who'd benefit from a button that takes someone else's art and feeds it to a Gen AI. I get why artists stay there but at what point is the bigger reach no longer worth it? 051

SquishyPalu @squishypalu.bsky.social · 08/12/2025Have any of you seen that second FNaF movie? I probably wasn't gonna watch it but I'm curious about it cuz all the discussion goes between "it's good fun" and "this is the worst thing I've ever seen in my life" with very little in between 120
SquishyPalu @squishypalu.bsky.social · 03/12/2025I just checked. This is the stupidest fucking company in the world I swear to god. 031
SquishyPalu @squishypalu.bsky.social · 03/12/2025Then...then why would you even add the option if you aren't gonna give you the option to turn it off, just making it loud or louder. I gotta check this shit, no way this is how they did it. 130
SquishyPalu @squishypalu.bsky.social · 03/12/2025Meanwhile Kirby Air Riders has options to do that, along with a toggle for every individual HUD element, camera sensitivity, a way to check your average online connection speed, an FOV slider and multiple colorblind settings labelled for the exact type of dichromatopsia it was made for. 020
SquishyPalu @squishypalu.bsky.social · 03/12/2025Mario Kart World is such a strange game press wise. SquishyPalu @squishypalu.bsky.social · 14/11/2025Ideally this shouldn't be a thing we only be know about now and won't know more about "until it's out." Not even this character, why are we finding out about voice acting now? It's such an asinine thing to hide. 000
SquishyPalu @squishypalu.bsky.social · 14/11/2025Guys what if Dolly Dimpley was actually a real character and was in Alien 120
SquishyPalu @squishypalu.bsky.social · 06/11/2025I'm not ashamed of it. This was always a pretty big secondary goal with my Blender art. Just don't think when you guys wanna see a WiP and stuff, you'll all be like "aw fuck yeah, scene composition!" 030
SquishyPalu @squishypalu.bsky.social · 06/11/2025Ima be completely blunt, aside from the typical college/work/trying to focus on non-fetish art shit, I think a big reason why my art thing takes so long is I use this as a ploy to practice specific skills in Blender. I've always done it, but I'm starting to notice how complex they are getting. 250
