So, was doing a dive into game stores for the eventual publishing and distribution of P.O.D.E. I know for a FACT I will not be using Steam, as it's dirty and underhanded practices against developers and customers are icky to me... But should I use Epic Games Store? Thoughts?

Today's zero-context screenshot of a very specific mechanic I'm trying out in P.O.D.E.
screenshot shows a black coding window with code extending a label and a few variables for use in the code. two such variables are 'reaction', defined as a string type, and 'monocle', defined as an array type. The array 'monocle' has several sentences: "Yes, this is quite the distinguished look, I say!", "Good heavens, this monocle is superb!", "Yes yes, much clearer, now!", and "An eye, for a monocle, eh?".

I got a save and load system working!!! So freaking happy! A lot of the time spent working on it was doing troubleshooting... turns out it was a simple spelling error, lol

In this case, it actually went through a stage in Godot after the sketching stage, before I decided to refine it more in Krita, and then back to Godot it went!

Here is the current progress of how the game look has evolved so far!~ I start out with a small sketch on my phone, just enough to get a rough idea of the concept I want, and then I refine it through Krita, and eventually implement an even more refined version in Godot!

Developing solely in Godot and using Aseprite and Krita to make my art for it. This is my first ever game and I'm so excited to share the process! There is no release date yet, as I'm still early on in development, but stay tuned for updates, sneak peeks, and WIP shots!~
