(2 of 2)They're the same material as single-use bags, but double the weight, twice the headache. They still break down into the microplastics that we now carry in our bodies. The recycling symbols are gradually being removed, turns out they are not recyclable. The threads clog the machines. K♥️

“It’s Not Easy Being Green”, bags, tape, glue, 2005. A crunchy, leafy love letter to the absolute circus of waste in the food industry! Turns out it's real hard to be "green" when corporations are only worried about breaking profit records. Alright Karen... your move…BAG IT!!

You don't need special materials to make art, you just need imagination. The materials for these "Through the Looking Glass" photos are: - a pretty second-hand glass from a vintage market - a nice bottle of red wine from Tawse - an episode of The Graham Norton Show K❤️

We both LOVE coloured lights, we each have a ton of them. In addition to the strings and strings of lights, I made gels with cellophane and glass paints to fit over white lights. -K

The lighting in our installation had to do some pretty heavy lifting. All good Christmas windows have movement. We did that with continually changing light, which also provided all the colour; we painted with light.

Remember our "12 Days of Christmas" window in 2020? Our first installation together. You couldn't come into the studio, so we brought the studio out to you. We spent months creating an installation that could be seen from outside. Our massive ground-floor window is the perfect venue.

One of the fun things we'll be doing is challenging each other. Our first challenge is called 'Cosmetic Surgery'. I wanted us to look at how fashion/lifestyle magazines are designed to make us feel dissatisfied and for each of us to 'fix' them with the aid of some scissors. Very satisfying.
