I am a day late... Have you considered I could always be watching some Bullshit, and you wouldn't even know

The Roxy Horror Picture Show @squigglydot.itch.io · 01/10/2026

Goooood morning fiends I did some vn writing last night, around 1k words. Watched an exceptionally boring documentary. My plan today is to go out and see this after writing some more! Tonight is the version with Kanna Hashimoto as the lead...

Oh right the jam started, so I can work on it! I've thrown together an ambient track for the game. Please Excuse My Dark Ambient Swag

I've been trying to think of a place I could qualify as a Mini-Japan, but I've been at a loss... Until now.

Now that we've all been reminded of that horrible tragedy, here's the entire "Let's Hear It For The Boy" segment from Cipher.

The movie for the night was the Hideaki Anno directed "Cutie Honey" from 2004. I'll give you two-and-a-half minutes; more than enough to see why you should watch this.

It's also a very well animated movie... I mean, like, yeah. It was the highest budget anime film ever for a time. It looks like it!

Alright, so I watched Steamboy tonight. Katsuhiro Otomo, you've done it again (make a movie that looks really pretty but doesn't really work for me.) My favorite character was the dog-abusing ojou-sama named Scarlett O'Hara. I get why they named her that but Why did they name her that?

I've spent the last day or so becoming a certified Mahjong Beast.

It took a bunch of cute anime girls being very "accommodating" for me to realize that mahjong might be one of the best games ever made. Stripjong - Super Real Mahjong Venus Returns is very good. Not just the moment-to-moment gameplay -- the way the history of the series is represented is amazing.

It's surprisingly involved with gender and sexuality with in the otaku sphere, but it's disappointing how narrow the scope is; the only perspective considered is the cis hetero male view. It's to be expected, but it feels as though touching on gender should give way to a feminine perspective...

Finished Patrick W. Galbraith's The Moe Manifesto tonight. A charming little read! As expected from a book of interviewers from many subjects, the actual depth of the text leaned a bit shallow, but as a launching point for discussions of animanga subcultural history, it's a nice little intro.

"You don't understand, if we wrote a gay romance for Yosuke, we'd simply *have* to write one for this guy too! It's what the community would want!"

If you can stomach the fact that the author, Kenichi Sonada, is an out-an-out lolicon and it shows up in a lot of his work (quite the hard sell, understandably!) the manga has some super charming expression work, great frame direction, all the good stuff you'd want in a "girls with guns" series.

"[Shinji Mikami, director of The Evil Within] stated that it will be a 'true' survival horror game, 'one in which the player confronts and overcomes fear' because he was disappointed by recent survival horror games becoming action horror games."

I've been following up my playthrough of The Evil Within 2 with a playthrough of The Evil Within. One of my friends voices was in this clip so I tried to add thematically appropriate music to it.

Day 5: August 5th, 1975 I have ventured beyond the town... The mountain offers such magical sights, and the ocean's beauty is a marvel to behold... What isn't wonderful is bees. I got stung by a million bees. And I met a strange nerd boy?

Day 2: August 2nd, 1975 Explored a bit today! Especially as evening rolls over the town of Fumi, you're struck with this wistful feeling. The quiet moments make up everything, but even if you take it as slow as possible, there's so much you can miss... Had a moment with Gymnopédie No.1.

I've been on a High Score focused server. It means I've been playing a lot of Super Monkey Ball (Advanced) Took about 5 attempts. First three, it was a total wash. Fourth, I didn't skip so I crashed out on the final stage. I Understand It Now. Just need to clean it up to get a deathless...
