All the Heretic Naval Raiders assembled. I think I just need to accept I will always mess up spaulders and pauldrons somehow but I feel it’s barely noticeable this time. XD

Last but not least we have the campaign book. It’s got all sorts of lore a d rules and art inside and same as the original rulebook I got months ago it’s great quality and has spectacular art and writing.

A large hardcover book titled Trench Crusade Carcass Front. The cover has a large color version of a piece of art depicting a gigantic eel like sea monster in red with crustacean like limbs on its underside. There is a large sailing ship that looks like a tiny toy next to it to show its massive scale.

This small deck of campaign cards will be useful to have on hand and as always the art is phenomenal.

A small cardboard box labeled Campaign Cards.

Under all that in a separate compartment we start with the quickstart rules which will be useful and some reference sheets for the warbands. These include the Heretic Naval Raiders and the Procession of the Sacred Affliction. Both seem awesome and metal as hell.

A piece of thick cardstock paper depicting an armored character holding a flag bearing trident standing over a writhing ocean. In the ocean can be seen the coils of a gigantic sea monster.

A piece of thick cardstock paper with art if an armored knight wielding some form of strange rufle. Is also the quickstart rules for Trench Crusade.

Next we have a a bunch of campaign tracker sheets. These will come in useful if I ever have someone else to play with. XD

A sheet of many pieces of paper with charts and boxes to track progress through a campaign.

Right off we have the minis and such on the sprew. Honestly these are really nice with a lot of detail. Same with the Prussians I got a bit ago I am really impressed with the quality.

The open top of a box with sprews containing unassembled minis from the Trench Crusade Carcass Front scenario.

A close up of some of the sprew with Heretic Naval Raider pieces.

Some terrain pieces including naval mines.

A good friend decided I needed a cake for my birthday and ordered one for me. Thanks again @sailorsasha.bsky.social you’re the best.

A picture of a simple round bundt style chocolate cake with white cream cheese frosting in wrapping with various things sticking out denoting it is a birthday cake.

The same cake without wrapping with lit candles on it.

Last of the Prussians. Otto ready to glock(enspiel) some demons.

A painted Prussian miniature from Trench Crusade. He has a shock of yellow hair and is holding his glockenspiel in one hand and his mallat in another standing on the skull of a demon.

You know I won’t pretend like I know but also I am pretty sure this isn’t up to code.

So this sounds good in its face but the quote right below if you read it makes it show nothing has changed.

My lore/rules manual for @trenchcrusade.bsky.social was delivered finally and it looks very good.

A picture of the official Trench Crusade manual. A red corrupted priest like figure is depicted over a black background with Trench Crusade in bold letters above it. The names of the creators Mike Franchina, Tuomas Pirinen and James Sherriff are below that.

Well I don’t have any cool terrain or anything here is my whole @trenchcrusade.bsky.social Black Grail warband painted up. Been fun doing all these up. Learning painting as I go. More proud of some then others but my gross, plagued, insect infested boys are ready to go out to war.

It’s not great but here are the @trenchcrusade.bsky.social minis I have painted do far. Tried a couple different techniques and such to varying effects.

Some miniatures from the game Trench Crusade I have painted. Two mutated doglike creatures with sharp proboscis and distended bellies snd one zombie like one with its intestines hanging out holding a broken old style pistol like a club.

“How do you know you have autism and OCD Lorretta?” I don’t know I just spent 5 minutes filling this thing with the exact amount of toothpicks it can hold and made sure it was as symmetrical as possible. Probably not related.

Decided to have a go at the mini painting. Starting out practicing on the minis that came with my copy of Talisman. Behold the primed toad!

A small miniature from the board game Talisman depicting a toad.

The same miniature now covered in a matte white primer to ready it for further painting.

My foray into mini painting begins. Observe this primed toad.

Well I have the desk ready and set up. No reason not to start trying to do the painting of the miniatures.

I am awake but can’t get out of bed. Would be crime.

This is what I get for having a player in my campaign who is a political history nerd. Now I have to think about this kind of thing and it’s @maydaykafka.bsky.social’s fault. XD

A discord conversation between me and one of my players in my D&D campaign.
Player” Also, does the word "democracy" exist in kemb? I've mainly been deferring to the phrase "popular governance" because I don't know if most people alive know of a system of elected officials.”
Me “We’ll go with no though the concept of doing things democratically does if that makes sense.”
Player “I'll stick with "popular governance" for now then. since there's no system Kariah's heard of that she could pull a name from.”
Me “Just thinking about it and democracy is a specific political thing. Well people might say “we’re going to do this democratically” that as a real way to organize politics on a large scale isn’t really there yet. Oswela elects its monarch but that election is done by a panel of nobles.”
