An accurate depiction of me as I work on this post. I feel stuck in a vicious cycle. My blog, and sharing my projects through it, has always been my biggest motivator. But ever since I lost motivation with my blog, over months --now, sadly, almost years-- a direct result is that I lose interest in all of my projects, flitting fitfully from one to another, feeling overwhelmed by things that ought to be fun, as well as by my relentless overconsumption, never finishing anything.

This weekend marked our first two-night visit (Friday through Sunday) to my mom-in-law’s place since we adopted Domino back in May. I really missed spending that much time over there. We went to thrift stores, estate sales, played cards and the WiiU Wario Pictionary type game. My mom-in-law made one of my favorite things ever for dinner, creamed chipped beef on mashed potatoes, and her roommate who is like family made me my favorite coffee cookies.
