I always viewed the argument of opening them up to kids as an extension of trying to erase LGBT spaces, because if you make it so that a space is kid friendly, that also opens up the argument that nothing sexual should be visible and for a lot of bigots existing while queer is inherently sexual.

You should look into the bar association for your state if you're in the us, I'm assuming you are because you mentioned workman's comp and eeoc, they should have somebody you can talk to to get a referral. Write down everything you can remember and when it happened too, having notes can only help.

i've got 4500 hours on steam on destiny 2 and agree 100% with this, it would also help if they'd actually focus on improving existing systems instead of rebuilding the entire game from the ground up every year. plus it's story based but everything in between the expansions is gone. incomprehensible.

To put it in simpler terms, for generative AI you have two main components. The model, which contains the data that it was trained on. And the software that interacts with that model. Making it so that the interacting software doesn't allow you to generate certain images doesn't fix the model.

This ties back into what the art community wants from generative AI, which is a proper paper trail for training data showing what images were used and permissions to be listed for attribution. Because what actually happened is they scraped the entire internet ignoring copyright entirely.

So essentially to properly legislate this their entire business model needs to be reset to zero because the entire technology chain is poisoned by the fact that the models contain both images of adults and children in them. They didn't make AI, they made a CSAM machine with other uses. Fucked up.

In practice what this means is that anti CSAM legislation needs to create a legal requirement that a model be unable to generate those things. All of the money that has been spent on AI and on training and all of the major models were created without that in mind.

The reason the tech bros are fighting against it is because the models contain data inside them that means that they can be used to generate CSAM. If you have a model trained on safe for work images of children, and not safe for work images of adults, it will be able to generate CSAM.
