What is a serious game? At SquarePeg we develop serious games that have a clear learning purpose in addition to entertainment. The aim of 'Andrew's Cards' is to combine important and serious aspects of people’s lives at a time of change or transition with a fun approach. bit.ly/4eVHW3K

Design of the environment around us is just as important to people with a learning disability & dementia - but there may be differences. Think about the height of a person with Down's syndrome. Do chairs enable someone to keep their feet on the floor? Or are they are at increased risk of back pain?

SquarePeg Training was runner up in the Forth Valley HEAT (Highlighting Entrepreneurship All Together) 2024 competition, supported by Business Gateway. This was for businesses trading for less than two years and involved delivering a Dragon's Den style pitch. A great boost in our first few months!

Founder of SquarePeg Training Dr Karen Watchman has developed and delivered training on how dementia may affect people with a learning disability for decades. You might be familiar with 'Supporting Derek' or the widely translated 'Jenny's Diary'?
