Longtermists round out the TESCREAL bundle. They view the “trillions” of humans yet unborn as more important than the billions currently on Earth and argue that decisions should be made in the interest of those future humans. Taken to its most extreme conclusions, it’s a philosophy that justifies sacrificing present populations for the sake of hypothetical future ones.
