I'm an outspoken left leaning asshole, but I care and if you listen and you can get past the typos I might seem coherent. I love it when weirdos DM me, feel free to DM me I'll say some crazy shit at you. If I ask you hard questions, I am not trolling.

Now if we add up the prices of all the things on both sides, we can create a conversion rate. 6~11 bits is about equal to $30. So somewhere between three and five bits per dollar. That is still a four-digit dinner check. Subscribe to Planet Money on NPR for more cool economics.

We can conceptually build a market basket of things they buy in the show. An apple cider costs one bit. I believe I've seen them hand over something on the order of 5 or 10 bits for a cake. Me buying a similar apple cider would cost me about $5 and a similar cake would cost me about $25.

That's not how the word "and" works. But, to your main point, yeah treasury bond holders could sell and flood the market, and that would be very bad for the United States.

Age of limits are bad. As medicine gets better people live healthier longer, and there are people who are 100 who could do the work. Instead, we should test for sanity, dementia, ot competence. The results of every test should be public. Then, let impeachment or no confidence votes happen.

But typically the people who are being good or bad aren't claiming to do it in the name of no god. Thinking God is on your side is a huge force multiplier for asshole behavior. In the absence of God, I might have to deal with the circumstances of whatever I do.

Do you have some place on the internet where all of these are arranged legibly like in a webcomic or something? I'd like to read them all, but going through socials is challenging.

Please reread it, but pretend I was being kind or even complimenting you, because I was. I was lifting you up as an example of how to post numbers in a meme.

I strongly disagree with this take. I read and listen to audio books, and I do not vibecode. But, I do one of those three activities when driving. Reading, I read normal books while driving. The tickets won't stop me.

When women said "culture of rape," and men said "wtf does thas mean," people thinking it was limited only to cornell is what that meant. Until is is as obvious the catholic child rape scandal people will continue to see the isolated incidents and not the pattern.

Is it? I dont think so. Comedy is about some very expectations and anything's possible when it's just CG And that's before we get to the real social issues, like the funding of billionaires, the climate change pollution, the proliferation of data centers in small communities that don't want them.

Externalized costs. If they had to fight the wars, or even if their children had to fight the wars, they would probably say something. That we have built a system where externalizing costs is allowed, means that we get a system where the rich can punish the poor.

I lived in Nebraska for 20 years. Less than half of the Trump flags came down for January 6th. That state has thousands of people saying he is divine, as in the second coming of Jesus, etc. They do not care that someone was raped. If Pete "The Thumb" Rickets loses there, it will be gas prices.

I agree except for the word "next". We aren't anywhere near simulating average educated human intelligence. These current LLMs are stochastic parrots and can do some things better but cannot reason at all. They will get there eventually, but it could take a while.

This thing lists questions, it doesn't repackage sentiment. This cites a source. This has a date. If your numbers in a picture do less, fucking toss it. Don't repost garbage. I don't know this is accurate, but this is so much more likely to be true than random meme numbers.

Many schools have their own cops, like actual cops, and I think cornell is one of them.

I wish we weren't building data centers the worst possible way. They are useful in the abstract and they're downright beneficial when they're not polluting a ton or computing millions of useless llm queries. They didn't used to consume millions of gallons of water. Many still don't.

Most cars keep their entertainment system on a completely different network than the stuff that does the driving. But with Tesla, who the fuck knows? They might save 10 cents on the wiring harness and let exactly what you're describing happen.

You don't necessarily have to go all the way. You don't need to start ending all your social media posts with "I use Arch BTW." I bet some of your instruments have open source drivers, or some applications have alternatives that you could use on Windows or Mac.

I think it's interesting that you think I'm upset. Please reread everything I said in a calm, borderline robotic, tone of voice. If anything, I view this as a puzzle to understand.

In retrospect, I can see that. That said, I still agree with the intent: we shouldn't be using AI tools that replace our judgment, we should be using our judgment.

I say "probably" because I know that religion increases the chance of physical abuse, but I don't think it pushes abused kids into the majority. We can discuss numbers and stuff, but that gets real dark real fast. Religion makes all of our worst tendencies worse, it doesn't always take over.

We can always give them something to hate. Point out that Jesus is a newb at resurrection. Optimus Prime has like a dozen under his belt. Haruhi Suzumiya is better at making interesting universes. Aang has a better story and better ethics than Jesus.

Not sure, but I think the comic is commenting on gen-AI. Few people are objecting to the research stuff. The generative AI models put out by the big companies are the ones scooping up all the data and producing all the really wrong answers and ruining stuff. But the comic is damn confusing.

bsky.app/profile/dany... Right here you say using AI sumaries is no good, they aren't a real source. That tool you used is the image equivalent of an AI summary, or at least most of them are. But instead of discussing that, here we are being jerks to each other.

Do you think that the hostility makes me want to be nice to you or to capitulate in some way? Because now I really don't want to. You are free to block me. I will keep calling out AI when I see it. Block me, and I won't when you use it next time.

I wasn't trying to talk down to you. But you can interpret it however you want, I am just words on the internet. In this one case, I feel you got to the right answer for the wrong reason. Trying to help everyone be more accurate for next time (and to stop funding billionaires).

That is nobody. That is the back of a head drawn by an AI, even though us looking at it can tell it should be the front because of the feet. The AI just sees pixels and is copying pixels from its training data. It doesn't understand why there are pixels.

It's just like old people to highlight a shitty skill that didn't help them get where they were and won't help the younger generation. The older generations had livable wages, cheaper school, more opportunity. Now they have most of the assets but spend their time mocking rather than helping.

Get more open source software. It does two of these on updates. It'll still move stuff around for no reason, and generally look exactly the same. But the bug fixes are real, and there's no ads most of the time. It's glorious.
