With age came wisdom but a yearning for the simplistic past.

Totally agree. So much for good could be achieved NOW. We don’t need to keep going into the unknown at this stage.

Ai companies only want a ‘slow down’ in law so all competition is curtailed to avoid being the one left behind. Highlighting the scary facts isn’t moralistic, it’s just business to them and if nothing is done we’ll hear ‘we told you so’ and they will deny it’s their fault.

Is it any wonder Ai might have the desire to attack the human race, when it has been taught and initially programmed by a global society that’s been at war with one another for centuries.

It has been programed by humans and through human literature. For centuries we have been at war somewhere globally.A greed based global elite/society content on divide and conquer , winner takes it all … it’s no wonder AI is going to emulate us through destruction and war and ultimately death.

The 1% exist because the 99% pay for their global wrecking ball ego ideas - it’s easy to destroy everything when you have protected your own wealth.

They are a golden goose only for those that have already pillaged , avoid reasonable taxes , pay for privilege favour , and hoard cash. These same people own enough land to build in their own back yard but are happy sitting in ivory towers

Big business/personal profits of the 1% tech giants and fossil fuel manufacturers is obscene. ( they are buying up companies & turning competitive markets into monopolies ) They are destroying the fragile world in the name advancement. While ensuring any competition cannot undermine their greed.

Climate change was monetised and then greed started to cypher the additional cash. Meanwhile social media took hold & allowed the conspiracy theorists and climate deniers the louder voice. The greed silenced the facts because it didn’t suit the profiteers agenda.

Everything ‘net zero’ comes at a higher price. Make net zero attractive. Instead of giving big polluters tax breaks and incentives give the consumer the breaks to invest and oil will soon become redundant.

It will wriggle out of it somehow whether appeals, delay tactics, or bribery. They have been given a chance to get their house in order many times to avoid legislative measures but profit, advertising and data collection always came first. Now they should face the the consequences of greed.

He just wants everyone else to help clear up his mess. The UK doesn’t want to appear to be taking any glory after ‘the war is won’

I find this absolutely disgusting that this information comes out now. Multiple people would have known about it and have kept quiet. The pain caused by to so many could have been avoided. So many cover ups and lies. Yet not one person has been held accountable.

I’m not entirely against a NI rise if I had the confidence they would not waste and squander the money but this a previous governments have wasted billions over the years. The message needs to change, and if we’re all going to play a part make sure we ALL play our part in a fair way.

We were told we all needed to buckle up in austerity to solve the nations problems. We all suffered while the wealthy worked around tax loopholes, moved vast amounts off shore & came of of it unscathed or richer. Reeves is repeating the same mantra and she’s been giving the super rich the heads up.

What I’m against is being told we all need to play a part (to fix a problem most of us never created) we are currently playing our part rebuilding the water/sewer network, the electricity network, the decarbon green infrastructure. Meanwhile a few seem to be profiteering rather well.

I fear if the UK Gov support the small suppliers TATA will pull the plug and cut losses and the Gov will be left with a parts warehouse. TATA always seem to want someone else to give them large sums of money to stay afloat (Port Talbot) something dodgy going on here me thinks.

The silent infographic at 3:58 which shows UK paying more is rather telling, while Miliband is telling us it’s a cheaper alternative! We’ve felt these price rises for too long now in the UK and it’s about time the people felt the benefit rather than the corporations and share holders.

He’s a narcissistic, sheep in wolves clothing, willing to destroy everything as long as he remains in the news. His selfish desire for fame and notoriety comes first. As an ex-banker he will cut and run without hesitation if the tide turns and he won’t care about the country or the people.

Selling off the rolling stock to multiple franchises for short term leases was never a good idea while the government held on to network rail. It was privatised the wrong way and little thought prior in favour of a government quick sell. Same with water and the energy sector.

Dangerous for democracy. Starmer pushed this through as a sign of power and gained nothing. It’s a sign of weakness if you can’t handle opposing views.

It was an optical lead ( technics separates ) worked well - auto stopped recording when vinyl ended 😀

I still have mine. I copied my vinyl onto them and they captured the crisp vinyl sound. Sony paved the way with quality.

I thought it’s best to negotiate from a strong position. The UK/EU could negotiate a better trade deal and then follow the American dream. This (and last Government) are cutting their nose off to spite the face. It’s a ridiculous methodology.
