Just rolled credits on Silent Hill: Townfall. I had a small wave of emotions with this one. moments that were incredibly frustrating, things about it that felt lazy, but it honestly came through in the end and despite likely getting the worst ending, i came out the other end very positive.

a question to my Crimson Desert heads:

Sputnik34 @sputnik34.bsky.social · 31/08/2026

So i'm about 12 hours into Crimson Desert and i desperately need someone to tell me where the fun in this game is. My sequence of events has been as such: 1) I'll find a quest to do - can only say hi to people 2) i'll explore and find something fun - all i find are bandit camps or towns

Finished big walk. Genuinely an all timer. I had the EXACT same feeling playing this game that i've had while camping with close friends. Just you and the buds, out on an adventure, a big walk of life. thank you @househouse.com you made a masterpiece

Saw X - the first half is boring as fuck. the middle 30 minutes are really really really great, and then the last 10 minutes shit the bed so hard i almost couldn't believe what i was looking at. 4.5/10

House on Haunted Hill (1999) - this movie lowkey sucks but rules all at once. it's constantly throwing fun, unique shit at you, the jump scares are at least built up well with some really fun setups, the actors do a great job at being corny but serious... it's awesome 7/10

House of Leaves - Now i haven't read the Appendix (will make a separate entry) but as it is, this is probably the coolest thing i've ever read. genuinely upsetting at points, has some incredibly written sections and despite a lot of it going over my head it kept me engaged the whole way through 8/10

Been reading House of Leaves. I always hear about how scary and weird it is but I very rarely hear people talk about how incredibly well written it is. The prose itself is absolutely impeccable. Anyway, I'm officially in it now

Alice - Probably my favorite adaptation of Alice In Wonderland. consistently imaginative, unbelievably atmospheric and incredibly surreal. love this shit. if i saw this as a kid it would probably me one of my all time favorite movies. 7.5/10

Loathe : A Stranger To You - It's been over 6 years since the last Loathe album and in that time they've become my favorite modern band. This album is DRAMATICALLY different, but still feels like the same band. It is SIGNIFICANTLY more melodic but still has that heavyness. need more listens 9/10
