So long as someone's life does not harm another, it should not matter how one lives. As such, one's own monetary spending should not be limited based on what could be a concern based on fabricated narratives.
This country was founded on freedom, so our freedom to consume what we wish should not be denied or conditioned. As previously stated, if the freedoms of another are not being infringed and consent of both parties is obtained, it should not be a problem.

In general? In general, I think any process that runs in some datacenter somewhere, making use of stolen human creativity, harming communities, consuming/polluting fresh water, causing energy prices to go up while convincing various companies to reduce their workforces in favor of "AI" replacements, is just off the table ethically. This technology, so long as it's this monumentally destructive and wasteful, is an ethical black hole.

I would delete Discord from my life with extreme prejudice the moment I get a sniff of "AI" polluting the experience. I really can't word it strongly enough. Not only would I make sure that not a single bit on my machine was comprised of Discord data, I would become an anti-Discord evangelist.

People in my life would grow to hate me, so often would I remind them that Discord sold out to the fools who bought into the "monorail" that is "AI" sold to them by hucksters building out runway in front of a traveling plane that will never take off. They'll soon fall behind, that plane will fall into the ocean, and the bubble will explode. Don't make Discord a victim of such a transparently obvious grift.
