I don't think Blue Sky is giving me what I hoped for. Lots of internal American politics when the real danger to the world lies in Gaza and Iran and Israeli attempts to destroy them. Anywhere with Zionists in control is not for me.

Is this an American thing? I have never heard this request in UK.

My favourite deputy head reluctantly stepped up as interim head. We had a lovely year being managed by somebody we respected. The new appointment was female, damaged staff morale and was finally struck off for financial irregularities. There are conclusions to be drawn here.

I cannot get my head around the West Midlands. People are patriotic (flags in gardens) yet at the same time they seems to feels that they are being discriminated against.

I have noticed a difference in attitude amongst the over 65s since I moved. I previously lived in a suburb of Manchester where most people opposed Brexit. Since moving to the Midlands it has been a shock. Nostalgia for an England which never existed prevails, immigrants are blamed for everything.

Have you ever read the Stone Book Quartet by Alan Garner? Not one of his best known books; four interlinked stories inspired by his stone mason ancestors. As a Cheshire lass's, albeit descended from salt miners and fustian cutters, it sings to me.

I support the sentiment. In theory the freezing of bands should mean that the government has a larger tax take but this does not seem to be the case. We need an overall tax reform with narrower bands from 10 to 60%

Make some noise. Share this post. 🚨 The Israeli government has granted itself another means to dehumanise, suppress, and kill Palestinians. Israel is violating international law.

Palestinia Mandate , Gulf oils part in deposing a democratically elected leader in Iran, Peterborough massacre... the list is endless.

I don't know if the audience was typical of Clacton but if it was I can see how he got elected. They all seem to think that the government should do everything for them whilst they sit on their backsides and moan.

It is similar to the plan in 1953 when US and UK replaced a democratic leader who intended to nationalise the oil industry by the Shah who repressed his people and was finally overthrown.

I worked as a poll clerk years ago. The local Tories used to collect people from the old folks home and help them to vote unless we intervened. Nothing new under the sun.

I think that there are some countries where it is easier for dual nationals to obtain passports without rigorous checks and we are all caught up in this tightening of border controls. Australian dual nationals already had to use their Australian passport to return home.

Advice was taken from both British and Australian authorities. Straight choice , enter UK on British passport, pay for cert of entitlement or renounce any right to British citizenship.

Born in Australia. Australian mother UK father. It was too late to obtain British passport once thetmy became aware of the situation.

My Australian grandchildren is entitled to UK citizenship but no application has been made and therefore she has never had a British passport. For her next trip in March parents have had to pay over £500 for a certificate of entitlement. This is extortionate.

If Starmer goes it will be another example of the negative effect the USA has on us. An honorable man with no connection to Epstein and his network punished whilst the rapist in chief remains.

He also reveals the racism in American society which couldn't tolerate a president who was not a white male and organised to make sure it wouldn't happen again.

Ok Stella. Let yourself be distracted by the sacrifice of the minnows in a global context. Trump is using UK outrage as a distractor from all the currently powerful men whose names are redacted. We are being played for the fools we are.

Currently that is our problem. Starmer is a dead man walking at home. His legacy could be helping to build the alliance of middle countries and starting our separation from dependence on the USA.

My advice to Starmer and all our politicians. Don't take the bait of the orange nutter. Don't show offence, don't demand apologies, don't negotiate.Just ignore him, never refer to him. Let him believe the King's visit is going ahead. Imagine how stupid he will look when Charles doesn't arrive.

Mary and Joseph were not immigrants. They were following the orders of the occupying Romans by returning to their home town for the census.

Come to the UK. Visit National Trust properties, watch David Olusoga on the BBC. We are aware of the shameful things done by our Empire. However at times it was a lot more successful than any American attempts at similar.

Yes. This could be achieved by having more income tax bands, ranging from 10% to 50% rather than using emotive terms like wealth tax. Also to be a British citizen you should have the bulk of your tax liability in UK.

As a percentage of increased tax middle earners are still being penalised mire than the extremely rich. A brave government would introduce a more equitable progressive system
