Saw someone do one of these, thought it looked like fun. 9 games that were influential to me. Some really random ones in here lol. I’ll put a little explanation for each in the alt text.

Doom - Influential for getting me into shooters, teaching me a lot about game design, and getting me really into mapmaking, which was itself one of my first forays into game design. Also, it’s my favorite game lol

Pokemon Gold - One of the first RPGs I ever played, and one of the first times I ever just got totally sucked into the world of a game. I can hardly listen to the music from this game without tearing up, it’s so nostalgic for me

Namco Museum 50th Anniversary - Got me into retro games and particularly made me appreciate the beauty of the simplicity of old arcade games. Galaga is one of the best games ever made. Ms. Pac-Man also might’ve been the very first video game I ever played, though that would’ve been on Namco Museum for the GBA

Civilization V - Single-handedly got me into strategy games

Papers, Please - Really expanded my perspective on what a video game can be. And one of the first indie games I ever played, a scene I’ve tried to keep up with ever since

Minecraft - I’ve owned it for half my life and I’ve played for a bajillion hours. Alone or with friends, survival or creative, it’s been a big part of my life for a long time

Mega Man 2 - When I *really* started getting into retro games was when I started emulating NES games on my dad’s laptop. This was one of the first. Also, I freaking love Mega Man

World of Tanks - For better or worse, I played this a *lot* from ~2013-2018 or so. I can thank it for giving me a greater interest in history (I swear I was never one of those “I’m into history because I can name 50 WWII tanks” people, although I very much could lmao)

Guitar Hero III - I discovered Metallica through this game, and from that, a large part of my taste in music

Here’s a fun thing I’ve been doing this year. Every day gets a score out of 5. It’s cool to see at a glance when the good times and bad times were. Checking in at the halfway point, and I’m happy to report that aside from January, every month this year has been better than the last!

The cells are color-coded from red on the lowest end to green on the highest. In general, this year has a decent amount of green,with a few yellow-orange patches back in March and February.

January had an average score of 3.532. February’s was 2.911. March’s was 2.919. April’s was 3.167. May’s was 3.21. June’s was 3.267.

A year ago today, I started taking my life in a new direction. It’s honestly hard to believe that much time has already passed. I still have a long way to go. Frankly, I wish I’d made more progress in my first year, but I know this is a slow process. With that said, there have been many changes!

I made one of these for movies, too. ‘Cause it’s fun. These are probably all very pedestrian choices… A few notes: Spielberg is the pick for director. I had to pick a movie, so I went with Raiders. Not sure why, ‘cause Last Crusade is my favorite. I couldn’t think of a movie that needs a sequel.

Anyone here fuck with a girl whose Galaga high score is 400k?

A screenshot of the results screen from Galaga (1981), played on those of those multi-cade machines. My score is 400,490, good for second place to the high score of 676,240. I fired 3,669 shots and landed 1,925 of them, giving me a hit-miss ratio of 52.5%.

I was only able to do this because I had an extra life and the bullets moved faster; my normal high score is like 272k!

Clarissa wasn’t really sure what got into her. A coupon for four pizzas must’ve just been too good a deal to pass up. There’s just one problem: Clarissa lives alone. She figured she’d get several meals out of it, but when she started eating, something strange happened.

A few hours later, Clarissa found herself lying in bed, surrounded by empty boxes. Her gut was bloated from fullness, starting to turn red from how stretched it was. Crammed into the usual crop-top, her tits rested lazily above her belly, just like she lay in bed. Her short shorts were feeling even tighter than usual, and her fishnet leggings dug into thighs that only seemed to have gotten softer since the start of her binge.

Indeed, Clarissa was absolutely stuffed to the brim. And yet, the urge to keep eating was there.

“One more slice won’t hurt…” she said to herself before polishing off the last piece and ending her gluttony for now.
