4 years ago today I finished my 8-nite stay at Courtyard Marriott + moved into a furnished rental, the next step towards finding a place to live. I’d worked my first few days at SDOT and initiated the Vision Zero “top to bottom review.” 🚌 I didn’t know at the time that the #SummerOf62 was ahead!

The Waterfront was absolutely packed after the Belgium vs. Egypt match. ⚽️ A decade ago, this scene wouldn’t have been possible. The rebuilt waterfront has transformed the walk between the stadiums and Pike Place into one of Seattle’s great public spaces.
