Not a lot at the car boot this morning due to the weather but that doesn't mean I left empty handed. This small haul cost me just £2.

Found this Spitting Image book in a charity shop today and it features a parody of the 80s Transformers comics called Merchandisors. The Art is credited to Lee Sullivan.

The front cover to the Spitting Image Giant Komic Book. A pink background with an explosion in the middle with cartoons of various famous people from the late 80s flying out of it.

A page from the book featuring a Transformers comic parody called "Merchandisors - The Battle for Pocket Money". Several robots are running towards the foreground with a boy at the bottom. Two speech balloons contain the text "Oh my god! There are thousands of them! ...and I only get £2.50 a week!"

Found this in the antiques centre today and I was like "oh I am buying that".

The soundtrack album for the movie Biggles. Featuring Jon Anderson, Deep Purple, Motley Crue and The Immortal.

Biggles in his old timey flight gear walks across the clouds towards you, carrying a gun.

My historically accurate version of The Odyssey did not dominate the box office as I hoped.

The Odyssey restaurant at Epcot. A building that sits on the lake that, like a lot of classic Epcot, looks like it belongs on a 70s business park.

Me on Christmas day when the cheese and crackers are brought out:

An old poster for process cheese featuring Bagheera from Disney's Jungle Book movie holding a knife in one paw and a cracker with cheese in the other. Cheese and a glass of milk sit on the surface in front of him. The main caption reads "By George! Cheese and crackers - that's living!"

Some records from the "bargain bins" of the record fair this morning. I must watch the 80s version of Metropolis someday. Maybe Buddy's Song too but I'm sure we watched some of it during English at school.

Three vinyl records
Buddy's Song soundtrack album featuring Chesney Hawkes on the cover holding a red guitar
Love Kills 12 inch single by Freddie Mercury (from the Metropolis soundtrack)

Not a lot at the car boot this morning but I did find a vintage Rat King figure for three quid. Maybe there will be more tomorrow.

Big thanks to @spider-father.bsky.social for this dapper little dinobot. I do love a weird little beast era bot. The £4.99 sticker takes me right back to the shop in town that sold BW/BM figures for a similar price back in the early 2000s. I miss that shop.

Outback and Powerglide are both fun figures. I had a couple of issues with Powerglide's transformation at first but once you figure out how to do it without pulling bits off he's pretty neat. Outback is a repaint/remold of Brawn, which was already a strong figure and so that carries over here.

Here is my little TFNation 2026 haul. I didn't really have much of a list going in so it was very much just wandering around the dealer hall and picking up whatever took my fancy (also Powerglide and Rodimus were bought on the drive to TFN but they still count in my book).

My TFNation haul, featuring:

2 Battle Beasts
Blokees Defender Rodimus (bot) and Ratchet (alt mode)
McDonald's transforming quarter pounder box toy from the 80s
Gundam Aerial HG Gunpla kit
Retro carded Outback
AOTP Powerglide
G1 Fizzle, Dragstrip, Wildrider and Fasttrack
Hunt For Hyperdrive and Target 2026 books

TFN wristbands

I'd argue that the answer I gave for this question was more correct than the answer on the card.

What was Orson Welles' last film?

Jonny H @spoonatron.com · 05/07/2026

Here's what I found at the car boots this morning. The Sonic game was sold as not working but I've fixed enough old Tomy electronic toys to know it's usually either the motor that just needs a bit of a push or the switch that needs a clean. This was the latter.

A Thundercats Monkian figure, missing his accessories and with the paint rubbed off his nose standing next to a Transformers Generations War for Cybertron Optimus Prime figure that has transparent red plastic on his chest.

This cost me £1.50

A Tomy Sonic The Hedgehog Cyclone game. It's missing Tails, the little yellow Porker Lewis score markers and the yellow pucks. This was £5
