A coworker asked me if I was familiar with OBS. (For reference, I don't talk about streaming to anyone in my day to day life) Brother, if only you knew. I've been using and absolutely abusing that program for the better part of 6 years. . . I told him I've heard of it before.🙂

I'm tired of every interaction feeling like a test, especially when they have innocent intentions. An email asking for clarification, invites to social gatherings, a text asking for help, "We need to talk" out of the blue. I read between the lines too much, and I'm tired of it.

The only pleasures in life are guilty ones. I do not share many interests with friends, family, or colleagues due to years of ridicule, judgement, and shame. These days there aren't many things I enjoy, but the few I like are kept close to the heart, away from prying eyes.

Everyone wants to be included, with like-minded folks to do life together, but many struggle finding that group. Why? Because inserting yourself into an established group rarely works. Go out and find the hidden gem friends that don't have groups and grow together.

Being part of a creator program or being denied entry doesn't make you any more or less a creator. It can be nice to have labels or backing, but it shouldn't be the end all be all. Continue to create. Be proud of what you make. There is much more out there worth striving for.

Got to watch my "weekends" evaporate in real time as responsibilities for events were given to me. Was kind of hoping for one after working 6 or 7 days a week for the past couple of months. . . Here's hoping to get a weekend in 2027, I guess. At least the paychecks will be nice.

I certainly don't feel it today. . . Or recently, but I am truly blessed. I have shelter, a full time job that pays well, people in my corner willing to support me, and more importantly, correct me when I've done wrong. I could ask for more, but I'm already living the dream.

What are folks thoughts on collab streams? Genuinely. There are pros and cons, but which outweigh the other? I personally enjoy watching and doing both, but as a viewer what is your preference? Or does it boil down to the preference of the streamer that is, you know, streaming? 🤔

My line of work is thankless. The only time I am noticed is when something goes wrong. The standard is perfection and anything less is not tolerated. Yet I was seen and appreciated by a regular outside of my field of work. They recognized the quality increase since I took over.

This is truly a first world problem, but I'm finding it harder and harder to press "Go Live". This is the busiest I have ever been with work and life. I am exhausted by the end of the day. I look forward to the times I have energy to stream, but they are becoming infrequent. . .

Ever wonder how streamers set up programs like OBS as well as plug-ins? 🤔 Well you're in luck, because I'm going to be reinstalling Windows on my PC tonight and rebuilding my OBS from essentially scratch live for anyone to check out. Planning on a start time of 5PM PDT/8PM EDT.

I had an opportunity to play the Cajon last night, and I took it. I'm rusty and made plenty of mistakes, but a great experience and reminded me of something I once enjoyed: playing music with community. That was the first time I played in 7 years. . . I will remember this fondly.

Last night, I did something I should've done forever ago: I turned my viewer count off. And people noticed. They may not be able to tell what was different, but they could sense a change and the stream was better for it. Curiosity was getting to me, but it was a healthy choice.

One small thing that makes my day is when I'm the reason someone laughs. Not a giggle or quick exhale, but a deep, hearty laugh. Where saying "I can't breathe" is impossible. If I can do that, the rest of my day was worth it. It doesn't happen often, but its a joy when it does.

I think its time to reinstall Windows. . . Things are slowly breaking program-wise and it'll only get worse with time. I have to keep this PC running until I can afford upgrades or a decent pre-built. Wish me luck cause I'm just going to overhaul and start from a clean slate.

Started a musical journey in January of 2024 where I went through my followed artists (because I don't "like" songs), and today marks the end. I went from following ~2000 to 856. Listened to at least 3 songs per artist. Just might restart because my music taste is ever changing.
