I got food poisoning and missed a concert tonight I was looking forward to. I was bummed and napping on and off all day. I wake up with 10 laps to go and see the rain delay, the caution, and then Bubba into victory lane. I’m literally sobbing. Lol I’ve never been so happy to miss a concert 😂

Please send good vibes this way as my kitty Martin Mewex Jr is getting his lab results back today. He’s got CKD and he lost weight recently so I’m hoping for okay news 😭 we got him an appetite stimulant and anti nausea meds so I’m hoping that will help. He’s still his energetic and playful self.

It’s been 2 years since I held you in my arms my sweet baby boy Hugo. I miss you every single day. I miss your cute lil squeaky meows and how you’d run to the door when you heard me come home. You were my first cat, my soul cat, and my best friend. I’m so thankful for every second we had together.

I had a dream last night that I was driving around this neighborhood with my spouse and we saw this big house for sale. This dude asked us what we were doing and we told him just driving around. He then asked if we wanted to meet 50 Cent and I was like YES! Then we met him and he gave us $100k.

Also my work has this display up for Memorial Day where it’s like an empty table with a place setting and a folded flag and I immediately burst into tears when I saw it. It’s been 7 years this month since I lost my dad who was a veteran. My lil Pisces heart cannot take this shit today lol.

One of the cutest thing my lil girl kitty does is nuzzle my nose with her nose when she is at face level with me. She’s the cutest and most precious bean and I would die for her.

I also have a kitty that was rescued from a hoarding situation- His name is Martin. He was originally living with 45 other cats in the upstairs bedroom of a bungalow. It took him 7 months-ish to really open up to me, but now he even greets strangers. It’ll be 2 years since we adopted him this June!

I’m currently listening to the audiobook of Solito which follows the autobiographical story of a 9 year old boy on his solo journey from El Salvador to reunite with his parents in the United States. I’m on chapter 4 and this book is beautifully written and heartbreaking at times. Would recommend.

I just finished Crying in H Mart: A Memoir by Michelle Zauner and I absolutely loved it. I think she does a beautiful job of describing grief and the complex emotions that come from it. And how when we lose someone we cling to the things that remind us of them.

I have been obsessively playing Flock lately. It’s on Game Pass and essentially you are a shepherd leading a flock of cute lil creatures. It’s very exploratory and fun. Def recommend for my cosy game fans out there. The Co-Op function is also great❤️

I’m in my feels. Lately I feel guilty for cutting my mom off, but she also abandoned me as a child, so I feel conflicted. I’ll never forget the broken promises and all the lies. Part of me is still that little girl waiting at the door for a mom who never showed up.
