I'm still mucking about with Sega Master System Z80 assembly. Got my old man moving around the screen with dpad input, animation, and basic collision detection with a lovely cup of coffee.

I went further down the rabbit hole and assembled my first Sega Master System ROM. Here it is running through an SMS FPGA core on my Analogue Pocket.

I read somewhere that Alex Kidd was originally going to be a Dragon Ball game before Sega lost the license. I made this Son Goku splash screen using only 14 colors of the Mark III/SMS palette. I haven't done a tile count yet but I think this would have been doable on real hardware. #sega #dragonball

I picked up Elevator Action Returns S-Tribute (on the Xbox). It is a nicely executed game with engaging game mechanics. It is incredibly fun to play. I would have loved to have played this arcade port on original Sega Saturn hardware back in the day. I might double dip and buy it for Steam as well.

Just completed my first playthrough of Bomber Man 2 for the Famicom. My thumbs are sore and my patience has been worn due to frustrating randomized starts in area 6. Regardless, it really is such a delightful presentation.

Finally completed It Takes Two yesterday with my youngest as my copilot. What an absolutely wild experience. There are so many interesting gameplay mechanics that are enhanced by the brilliant two player cooperative design. Much love to the development team that built this crazy wonderful game.
