The other day, I heard "Runaway Train" by Soul Asylum on the radio. I remembered the video included a lot of stills of actual runaway kids. And I wondered how many ran away because home life was untenable and no responsible adult in their lives would listen? Don't think it occurred to me before.

I try to avoid it if at all possible. Data centers are an environmental disaster. Not to mention I don't want a machine to do alllllll the thinking for me. Plus, I've seen the Terminator movies. I know how this ends.

I'm sorry, I wasn't trying to ignore your request for no advice. I guess in some ham-fisted way I wanted to say I understand being besieged by allergy & sinus issues & having to have a bevy of remedies at one's disposal. I do hope you find relief soon.

I was born w/ craniosynostosis. The top of my skull was rebuilt to allow for brain growth, but nothing in my head lines up right. Always stuffy/runny. I'm also peri, which seems to have activated reserve histamines. Yay. Oh, if the barometer is off its meds, I get a migraine-grade headache.

I can't do a neti pot; can't form a seal in the back of my throat. Anyway: Breathe Rights, vaporub, Katinko roll-on (it's Filipino, I get in from Amazon), humidifier in my room because I am a mouth breather at night. 2 Sudafed each AM & Zyrtec/Xyzal & Nasacort. A Benadryl at night if needed.

Same. Very often memories of that time come back to me,whenever citizens of an oppressive regime rise up. Women in Tehran right now -- just wow! They are done with the status quo & they are just done. But I remember those students in the square , faraway visions thru my parents solid state TV.

I remember as a teenager watching the protests unfold, thinking how brave they were to take a stand. And knowing an iron hand was waiting in the wings to smack them down. I remember seeing that brave soul standing before the tanks.

Been on epilepsy meds since I was 12, & also struggle w/ depression & anxiety. I was born w/ sinuses from hell (can't use a neti pot). Congestion & sinus pressure cause pain, nausea, dizziness, & affects my ability to function. Nevermind back & joint pain! So, yeah what is it?

It honestly wouldn't hurt my feelings none if we went back to horse and buggy. I mean, I'd need to finagle some sort of HVAC system for it because I don't do excessive heat and humidity. But cars, while they have their advantages, can be such a PAIN!!!

Once, in a particularly tight economic period for me, I checked out a couple of reality shows. Amazing Race was one of them. It is the only one that has ever appealed to me. I can't sit there watching the antics of those famous for being famous or those-- you know what, I'mma stop there.

I take meds that lower my tolerance for heat. I have gone without AC for days after hurricanes but it involved some creative dressing and the use of rechargeable or battery powered fans. AC is necessary for me. Yet, it must be maintained properly to be free of mold & other allergens that sicken.
