all in all. re4's a really good game. that is all strictly because of the gameplay being so goddamn good and the laughably bad dialogue being fun to listen to on occasion. its story is a 2/10 at best

oh my god. just replayed the last ~45 minutes of the story. read some of the in game documents. it's more like 95%. oh my god. it's so bad. why the fuck is this dog shit ass stupid fucking story attached to some of the most addictive gameplay i have ever touched. i am so pissed off. every single cutscene in this game that has an antagonist in it is just them going "Ahhhh Mister Kennedy... don't you see... I am not loyal to the Badass States of America... I am loyal to the made-up European Spanish-speaking country that is full of generic evil guys... and I want to put bugs in you because I hate America and you American dogs and did I mention I hate America because I'm the Bad Guy... and you are not a Cool American Action Movie Hero like you think you are because America is PoopooShit Bad..." and then leon being like "erm. did you forget that i'm the good guy? poopoo idiot head" and then they get angry and try to kill him and you have to do a quicktime event. and then leon kills them.

imagine if you wanted to eat your favorite food but every time you did in order to be allowed to eat you were forced to watch the chef make it while he recounted "american history" to you like the average usa history teacher and he was just like "oh well the native americans died All Of Them because of disease. so sad! but it's ok because we were their friends and now we have the statue of liberty. anyways did you know how much nuance is involved when it comes to slavery" and you just had to listen to that to get your favorite food. or else you could never eat it again. that is the re4 story mode experience. i never watched anyone play the whole remake just the first like hour or so but i don't see any way they could have improved it and i would not be surprised if it was even worse. the literal only reason i can stomach wading through the shit of the story mode apart from the gameplay being as good as it is is because the whole thing is just so like. absurd. all of the dialogue and events are so fucking stupid.and since the remake's version of the story wants to take itself seriously it has to be like 80 times worse i refuse to believe it's any easier to sit through. jesus fucking christ

which team is better. i finally found a decent-ish hack that will let me get d/p exclusives in platinum so honchkrow and mismagius DO make sense on the same team. i like all of these pokémon at least a little but i prefer the vaporeon/raichu team drastically 🙂‍↕️🙂‍↕️ water-types will have ice moves ofc

i read all of chainsaw man part 1 in a single day a little bit ago and apart from the fact that i really liked it the only thing worthy of note is that i made these images in the middle of reading it

that page of chainsaw man where denji, arai, and power first find the eternity devil. it's been edited so denji is mario, power is princess peach, arai is toad, and the eternity devil is a goomba

the like later part where the eternity devil shows up again and it's way bigger. now it's a sea of goombas. also aki and himeno are luigi and a different toad (couldn't find a transparent png of toadette's mushroom cap)
