US intelligence have said that internally China's plan was to be 'ready' to invade Taiwan by 2027. There has been no credible reports of any Chinese plans before then. Not that it will happen, but from 2027 onwards it becomes a lot more plausible.

Well I actually did like him going to China. I think that was a good move too. So two things heh.

A little sad that this is the first thing I can think of since he was elected where I am like "Oh good job Marky boy." But it was a good speech. And a western leader admitting that the "rules based order" has always been fake, and self serving is something I didn't think I would ever hear.

The British state really hasn't changed much in the last 45 years has it?

Yea, and as a European who has spent my whole life with the government "acting as both the tax filer and the tax collector," I think that's a stupid concern. The lack of consultation is a real issue; I wasn't addressing this. But the policy itself is a good direction.

It is at least the start of a good policy. One step towards the majority of Canadians not needing to tell the government what they already know.

The problem is when selecting which animals to kill hunters and rangers have extremely different targets. To mimic natutal predators, rangers want to kill the old and the sick. Hunters want to kill bigger, stronger deer for better trophies and better/more meat.

That makes sense. Two points, first Asian urbanism is largely build from the ground up like North America where as more European urbanism is built on historical streets. Second, Asian urbanism is just better, generally, and this is from someone who has lived in both major European and Asian cities.

Iran never left the negotiating table. They were sincerely engaging in diplomacy. Your support for Isreal and the US's disregard for diplomacy is destroying the current rules based order we have and threatening to return us to a chaotic world of might makes right geopolitics. Shame on you.

Even as a strategic decision, this deal seems ill-advised. The Trump administration has shown a willingness to use any and all leverage to bully countries. Is that really an administration you want to give leverage over our energy to?

I’m just going to say that AOC is the acting leader of the Democratic Party until someone proves otherwise. At least insofar as she is responding to the moment with leadership.
Just to be clear, you are defending a Heil Hitler salute that was performed and repeated for emphasis and clarity.

People can officially stop listening to you as any sort of reputable source of information now. You work for them. Thank you for making that crystal clear to all.

Like, is it so hard for people to be like "both shooting concert goers in portapottys and slaughtering tens of thousands of innocents is bad." People like you honestly make me sick. I hope one day you grow a conscience and regret defending a literal genocide.

Spioróg @spiorog.bsky.social · 28/12/2024
Are you trying to do propaganda here or are you really that uninformed? What is the point in this? There was a strong peacful movement in Gaza up until the right to return where Isreali barbarism killed it. 98% of Isrealis polled are in favour of the genocide that you are arguing in favour of.

"Defend themselves" by shooting hundred of preteen children in the head; by dropping thousands of unguided 2000lb bombs on densely populated areas. This would be a vaild argument if the IDF's tactics and rhetoric showed even a pretense of only trying to kill Hamas.
100
Spioróg @spiorog.bsky.social · 28/12/2024
Surely you have heard of Sderot Cinema? Where the Isrealis gather on a a hill top and watch and celebrate Palestinians being bombed? Considering that was happening befoe October 7th according to your logic it's okay for Hamas to salughter Isrealis because they were jubilant about murder also.

Remember, if you resort to ad hominem without addressing any points, you have conceded defeat in the argument. So, thanks, I guess? No, not that. How about this: get fking rekt zionist scum. History will judge you and all the other genocide apologists harshly.

Spioróg @spiorog.bsky.social · 28/12/2024
"Let the adults discuss it" Gets the most basic facts wrong The last poll on Hamas' approval rate before October 7th was sub 50%. On that, now that a majority of Americans have voted for Trump, if he goes off and does something evil is it okay for the victims to retaliate against all Americans?

I think even looking at just Tutsi victims and not counting the Twa and moderate Hutus, the number is still about 500k. All happened in under 100 days too. It is truly one of the darkest moments in human history.

Spioróg @spiorog.bsky.social · 28/12/2024
This will always be an absolutely insane take. Hamas narrowly won 1 election in 2006, and before Oct. 7 50%, the population of Gaza was under 18. "Sorry to have to slaughter you, but it's really your fault some of your parents voted for assholes 20 years ago."

Spioróg @spiorog.bsky.social · 28/12/2024
Hate to be a pedant, but there is no way this is a bigger genocide than Rawanda (yet). That was 500-800k dead while Gaza is realistically in the 200k mark. Still, the "largest genocide of the 21st century" or "largest genocide in 30 years" is still awful.

In terms of those points the worst for each if the inconsistency of what is the "back" button or command across apps and settings. The worst bugs come from sound settings and the Apple Mail app. And the worst missing functionality comes with notification settings and sound controls.

The sad reality of this is that the only reason Isreal agreed to a ceasefire here is because they were being militarily defeated in South Lebanon. Bibi and friends only respond to violence it seems.
