i would be surprised considering hundred line almost got canceled itself due to funding issues and that's in recent memory, hopefully he wouldn't just joke about it having had that experience? i interpreted the ARG stuff on the website as like a proof of concept for potential investors

I have something serious to share. Please help my best friend Jess, who has been struggling lately to make rent, to keep from being evicted. She is the reason I'm so involved in the FGC, so if you see this, please give what you can, even 5-10 bucks, and share. gofund.me/0c8209c5f

when i was younger and a girl i would get hit on at smash events which didnt particularly enjoy, but for me, now that i am *not* experiencing that it feels like a lack of being desired at all, which sucks, even if it's not necessarily accurate.

yeah it's pretty foreign to my experience as well (which to some extent is probably the strive scene seeming less interested in that, they are... very serious about practicing). i think i spoke to like 2 new people in total at CB, which is obviously at least partially on me, but it's still different

i obviously <3 the strive scene but posts coming out of the xrd scene after roundhouse reminds me of when one of my strive friends asked multiple strive players "if you had the opportunity to have a threesome with two beautiful women at a major but you were playing friendlies,

life is not usually a competition but in this case there is a clear winner (me, not a cop)

learned that someone i sometimes feel insecure about being the same age as me and already owns a house became a COP. so actually i am winning.

like if u are making that choice informed that's fine, obviously plenty of ppl smoke cigarettes while being aware, but a lot of you sure drink that don't smoke!

i dont know how to say this that anyone will listen to but yall know alcohol is a carcinogen right

120

+edge|SpinningValiant @spinningvaliant.socalfgc.net · 27/09/2026

yeah it's been like 8? years which is actually pretty impressive! i think it's quite good but that's often irrelevant to gacha/mobile game success, my guess would be that the (scarily deep) PvP keeps people coming back? some of the collabs surprised me as well, like even gbf hasnt had berserk lol

010

+edge|SpinningValiant @spinningvaliant.socalfgc.net · 27/09/2026

disappointed but not surprised to learn that the smt mobile game is apparently not an endless money maker lol

100

+edge|SpinningValiant @spinningvaliant.socalfgc.net · 11/09/2026

yeah it's just information so people can make informed choices! the news also warns viewers when content may be disturbing, are they making us illiterate too...

120

+edge|SpinningValiant @spinningvaliant.socalfgc.net · 11/09/2026

like I think of something like gore or body horror, I have no issue with these things, but that doesnt mean I expect everyone to be completely undisturbed by it, or that I should be mean to people who dont like them? or call people prudes if they criticize societal patterns recreated in the work?

120

+edge|SpinningValiant @spinningvaliant.socalfgc.net · 11/09/2026

yeah I think that bothers me the most. i think there's a huge jump to go from being neutral or even supportive of those kinds of content, and treating them as "not a big deal" and being weird to people who are uncomfortable or against them.

120

+edge|SpinningValiant @spinningvaliant.socalfgc.net · 11/09/2026

even if someone doesnt have this position i think it's pretty understandable?? like some ppl have weird kinks as a result of trauma (me 2!), but i am surprised how unsympathetic we can be to people who are 'just' traumatized? like these are our siblings we should care about how they feel too...

it's interesting to me how much i enjoy listening to people talk about games irl versus how little i enjoy reading people talking about games. i don't know what this means (i would say it means i like my irl friends but i also like their threads less than i like listening to them irl or in 1:1 text)
