"They are on the verge of losing their father 🚨 The infection is consuming his body, and every second without medicine doubles the risk of losing him 🆘 Please don't let my daughters grow up with only a picture of a father who should be holding them today😭💔 Please help" chuffed.org/project/omsh...

"If Mahmoud survives tonight, I’ll call that a miracle. I’m begging tomorrow to wait. 💔 The infection is spreading through his injured body. He needs medicine urgently, and we still can’t afford it. Keep his name in tomorrow. Just don’t let this be his last night. 😭🙏🏻" tinyurl.com/2e6a9ahj

Our Cat Plant is doing well despite the drought.

A black and white cat sleeps curled up on its right side with the tip of its tail covering its toes. It's surrounded and partially obscured by large green leaves.

I put one foot (not quite literally) in front of the other in an outdoors setting.

A very tall stack of cuboid bales standing in a yellow field that's recently been cut.
Far in the background are green trees and above is a cloudy sky with thin patches of blue in the distance.

The pollinators are out in force today

On a tall plant featuring pink flowers in dappled sunlight, an upside down bumblebee searches for pollen in the foreground with another out of focus in the background.

"Hello my family, I'm back after an absence of more than 9 months. Does anyone remember us? I return with suffering in my heart and mind, I return to tell you new news" chuffed.org/project/1591...

Urgent
Today, we carry a dream in our hearts.

Samar is now in her sixth month of pregnancy, and we are eagerly waiting to welcome our beautiful baby girl into this world. Every day, we imagine her tiny hands, her first smile, and the future we hope to build for her.

But alongside this joy comes a difficult reality.

Because of the harsh conditions we are living through, Samar is suffering from malnutrition during her pregnancy and urgently needs proper nutrition, vitamins, medical follow-up, and the basic care that every mother deserves. As future parents, it is heartbreaking to know that we cannot always provide everything our daughter needs before she is even born.

Our greatest wish is simple: to give our little girl a healthy start in life and to welcome her into a future filled with safety, dignity, and hope.

Your support is not only helping a pregnant mother.

It is helping a baby girl begin her life with a better chance, a healthier future, and parents who are doing everything they can to protect her.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you to everyone who stands beside us during this precious chapter of our lives. ❤️

Kitty's making the most of our shade this Caturday.

A group of three planters overflowing with white, pink, and purple flowers stand on a garden patio in front of a summerhouse painted grey with a white door and window. At the foot of the planters in the shade lies a black and white cat.

It's up to the individual to prove their innocence by having a "legitimate" reason to cover their face as their defence because fuck the rule of law, amirite?

Concealing identity at a protest
Current legislation gives police the power to direct people to remove face coverings in designated areas and to seize face coverings where they reasonably believe people are wearing these wholly or mainly for the purpose of concealing their identity. Individuals may therefore follow the direction of an officer to remove their face covering but then move to a new area and put the face covering back on. In some circumstances, using a face covering to conceal identity may be used for the purpose of avoiding conviction for criminal activity in a designated area.

The new criminal offence will prohibit the wearing or otherwise using of an item to conceal identity in an area designated by the police under the new provisions. The offence will carry a maximum penalty of one month imprisonment, a £1000 fine, or both.

Concealing identity at a protest
Q. What is the measure being introduced?
A new criminal offence of wearing, or otherwise using, an item that conceals identity in an area designated by police due to the risk of criminal activity taking place at protests. This will enable the police to put a stop to individuals hiding behind masks to avoid conviction for criminal activity at protests.

A designation will be placed on a locality when police reasonably believe that a protest is or may take place, that the protest activity is likely to involve, or has involved, the commission of offences and that the designation would prevent or control the commission of offences.

The offence will only apply in a locality which has been designated by a police inspector (or a rank above) and the designation can only last for a maximum of 48 hours. It will cover individuals who are wearing or otherwise using an item that conceals their or another person’s identity, however it will not cover those wearing face coverings for health, religious or work-related purposes.
