I had similar issue when returning from Tokyo to Norway. Got one layover due to late flight. Everything paid for + I applied for compensation which took hella long time, but got the option for I think 600 EUR cash or 800 in credit at the airline.

Found the commands needed to start the TCP video feed from insta360 360-cams so now I just need to write it into a smaller c program that I can use to pipe it into ffmpeg and pray it understands the feed. Surely that’s what the devs planned for, right?

Made a quick video to show how one can use the DJI Osmo Action 4 and 5 Pro battery case to effectively «hot swap» the battery. Very nice if you are a IRL streamer using the cam wirelessly. Should work with normal power banks as well! youtu.be/tQeWQFSxZMg

Finally found the missing stuff needed to support the DJI Action 5 Pro and pushed out a patch for Moblin so people could test it out. Initial tests looks very promising.Will also later release the Library I’ve been working on for the DJI cams so I call it a dub for both the Action 5 pro and Action 4

I used this tester that I recently bought. Has Bluetooth and can be connected to the PC for easier seeing what’s going on. Also has nice features like the resistance check tool.

Too many USB cables? Struggling with powering your IRL backpack? Get your cable-resistances checked. Throw away the worst half. Shorter is not always better either!

A bunch of usb cables laid out on a holiday decorated table divided into groups labelled with ohms ranging from close to 0 ohms up to above thousands ohms. Most of the shorter cables are in the less than 100 range, but the only one in the above thousand is short as well. Most of the longer cables are in the 100 ohms range.

My goal this December is to get ALL of the devices in this picture easier to use for IRL streaming. Either by making documentation, libraries or apps. I also hope to make streams and vids about them.

2 shelves with the following gadgets: A head mounted camera, a mirrorless camera zv-e10, a Sony action cam x3000, DJI Action 4, DJI Action 5 pro, Insta360 x3, DJI Osmo Pocket. Second shelf a 5 dollar kids digital camera, Ray Ban Meta, portable Receipt Printer and a Anker Powerbank.

Reverse engineering the Osmo Action 5 Pro bit on hold until i can get my hands on a device myself. Seems to be too different to the Action 4 (which i have) that its hard to figure out thanks to logs recieved from other people.

You can send the DJI cameras Bluetooth commands while streaming to change EIS mode. Also seeing patterns for more options so think stuff as wideangle etc may be adjustable on the fly as well. Could make it use stab while in high speed and automatically widen out if walking etc. interesting stuff

BT on linux seems so complicated. I just want to create a BLE server so that my linux device can function as a peripheral my phone can connect to, but there are no "easy" ways of doing this. Closest ive gotten it to work is a C-program which makes no sense to me. Need to read more about whatsup

Reminded me of these ancient style meters that was on kitchens all around here in the past. Those only showed the current watt which was more important back then, but having a upgraded version for watthours would be cool

That way i could make a display to place around the house with the total watthour in the given hour and the odds of the water heater turning on in this and/or the next hour, so that i know when its "safe" to cook or wash clothes/dishes. If i do that within the same hour, my powerbill goes up a tier.

And then also min-maxing when you do the laundry and when you do the dishes so that you dont use too much power within the same hour because then you may reach a arbitrary treshold which makes the power-line company charge you 60% more on the powerbill
