Welcome to the Karlov deck Niv! (and you too free casting spell) #magicthegathering

Three mtg cards. Flawless Maneuver, Karlov of the Ghost Council, and Niv-Mizzet, Ghost Council

Listening to some Commander podcasts recently and I’ve heard two creators say “black can’t remove artifacts” or “no cards in black to deal with artifacts” They’re old and not great but they exist 😂 #magicthegathering #commander

I didn't realize how good green had it in Commander in terms of Ramp. I'm trying to build a Mardu creature focused deck and really struggling to find a land ramp package out there. This is what I've currently slotted in (I like lands over rocks or dorks most of the time). #magicthegathering

Worst dad of the year nomination goes to me - my son left his trade binder in the car and when I took it out I sat it on the roof to give it to him and forgot it. I drove off to get my wife and I coffee and his Pokémon trade binder flew off somewhere. He’s crushed and I feel like a giant prick.

Picture of the pokemon binder I forgot on the roof of the minivan and it flew off somewhere.

I'm building The War Doctor for EDH. I'm already doing the 🙃 face at some of these interactions. Does Myriad trigger multiple times or once? I think Ryan Sinclair, Wand of Wonder, and Plargg and Nassari work how I want them too... Creature deck? Burn deck? Voltron? IDK. #magicthegathering

I have no idea how some of y'all do it, trying to get all the lands you want in a Commander deck is just dumb expensive. I'm not talking OG Duels or even Fetches but pricing out 3 Verges, 3 Bond, 3 Surveils, 3 Shocks, 1 Triome, and a couple of utility lands is nuts over $300. #magicthegathering

Hello @rebell.bsky.social , I have a qq about one of the analysis tools over at commandertemplate.com When I see "Operational Threshold" I'm not sure what that means or how I should apply that to my deck. It's a 3 CMC commander that ramps, I'd like him out on t2 but he cares about 4+ artifacts.

Is Primal Vigor just a worse Doubling Season? Is Doubling Season even good in Commander - even if you're doing tokens and counters? #magicthegathering

Primal Vigor M:tG Card - this is the Black Panther "Bast's Blessing" version.

Doubling Season M:tG card, this is the "Foundations" version

I stopped playing M:tG before Planeswalkers. When I got back in I didn't know what the the cards were or who the characters were. I also wasn't playing when the Eldrazzi hit so this entire @magic.wizards.com Reality Fracture story (just finished Ep10) caught me up on a lot. However...

Finished the first draft of my T'Challa, the Black Panther Commander deck. archidekt.com/decks/262751... I realized the last deck I was trying to build was really for Brawl and not EDH. Not sure if this is any better but it playtests a lot smoother. #magicthegathering #commander

SpilledPaintPot @spilledpaintpot.bsky.social · 10/09/2026

@edhrec.com folks - is there a way to filter out cards that come in a precon? They tend to dominate precon commander pages and make it hard know the directions these commanders are taken in when they're built from scratch.

000

SpilledPaintPot @spilledpaintpot.bsky.social · 07/09/2026

I know I'm late to the party here but I'm really annoyed at the @magic.wizards.com design team for making some of the Wakanda theme in the Marvel set blue. The precon wasn't Bant, the Secret Lair for T'Challa wasn't Bant.. but I have 3 cards I want in my Black Panthers deck and no good commander.

SpilledPaintPot @spilledpaintpot.bsky.social · 01/09/2026

Hello folks at @archidekt.com - is there a way to filter the lists you show by a certain time period? Like if I wanted to look at a commander but only want to see what's been going in decks the last 2 weeks or 8 weeks - is that something I can do? Thank You!

000

SpilledPaintPot @spilledpaintpot.bsky.social · 29/08/2026

My body is ready for Reality Fracture. I can’t wait for a green counterspell that only counters artifacts, a whitening bolt, blue x spell that drains life, a red card that draws and gains life, and black card that exiles enchantments. Also a card that’s only Ashiok’s face. (Legit hyped for it)

SpilledPaintPot @spilledpaintpot.bsky.social · 29/08/2026

Mana curve... even after changes still wonky as hell. Feels like a @mtgarena.com brawl deck more than a Bracket 3 Commander deck. (I blame all of the @amytheamazonian.bsky.social content I've been consuming - they make it look so effortless). #magicthegathering #mtg archidekt.com/decks/257059...

A screencap of my commander deck (T'Challa) from Archidekt showing all 100 cards and my mana curve which is... not great. More like a mana sine wave.

SpilledPaintPot @spilledpaintpot.bsky.social · 14/08/2026

I cleaned up a lot of my @mtgarena.com Brawl decks and left these in the rotation to play. I wish there were a way to turn off Alchemy cards in matchmaking, I'm just trying to use this as a pseudo-Goldfish for my Commander decks and some of those alchemy cards I play against are wild as hell.

Hello #magicthegahering folks - is there a good place to post rules questions? (Forum, #tag, discord, etc..?) As I am finishing up this deck (Commander in this case) I just realized it may not work how I want it to but am not sure how all these interactions line up.

SpilledPaintPot @spilledpaintpot.bsky.social · 01/08/2026

I was hoping to get down to my FLGS for Commander Night, most everyone there plays at Bracket 3. New Deck: @archidekt.com is telling me that it thinks it's a bracket 2. @rebell.bsky.social 's tool (CommanderTemplate.com) is recommending it be a Bracket 4. My skill is maybe bracket 1 on a good day

Hello @edhrec.com ! I have a question in regards to the "synergy" feature. Is the math on it just the formula in the popup? I'm trying to reconcile the label of "synergy" when I see cards like Deadly Rollick score so low in decks with black in it and other removal score in the 20-30% range.

☠️ Big milestone for me as my first non-self published tabletop game goes live next Friday 3/20! Lyctor is a low model count, mini agnostic skirmish game that puts you in the role of an Adept of the Necromantic arts in a battle-beyond-death-match to ascend to Lyctorhood and acquire profane powers.

The printed book for Lyctor. The cover is a vintage red color with an eerie skull drawing done in a sketchy blue pencil

Full spread of the printed version of Lyctor featuring a sample of the rules. The text is framed by a cold looking, sharp metallic bracket that mimics the vibe of wicked armor paneling.

@draftsim.bsky.social With the approximately 300 new sets that have come out since you posted the "Quick Draw" upgrade guide (draftsim.com/quick-draw-u...) do you have any new recommendations that stand out? I haven't played this kind of deck before and I love the idea of tokens in these colors.

#MagicTheGathering players, back when I was playing standard I was running a blue/black deck that focused on Megrim, Warped Devotion, board bounce, counters, & Avatar of Woe - while I understand that people don't necessarily like control or discard in EDH - is there a shell out there for this build?

Don't think I'm cut out for modern M:tG. Power over 8,000,000 with trample? That thing was like a 12/12 at the beginning of the turn. How would people even play this at a table? Somehow this feels like Call of Duty anytime after Black Ops II, I don't know how to explain that but if feels accurate.
