Witcher 3 remastered out here looking beautiful. Missed this game.

Zompete @spikysucculent.bsky.social · 24/09/2026

Unfinished scenery. Unpainted models. Home made terrain footprints. Living room not tidied or fully organised for Warhammer 40k. HOWEVER, I'm finally ready to field two of my 1500 point armies. Its been nearly 15 years since I last played Warhammer 40k. Now my two favourites face each again.

There's no pain in warhammer 40k like painting chaos trim.

Zompete @spikysucculent.bsky.social · 14/09/2026

Finally army number 2 of 6 is fully constructed. The ever beautiful Adeptus Sororitas, or Battle Sisters if you prefer. The most expensive. The most annoying and fiddly to build. But by a mile my favourite faction. 1500 points gets you quite a lot apparently.

Zompete @spikysucculent.bsky.social · 08/09/2026

Still a ways from finishing but I’m trying to keep sharing my models as I paint so I don’t get scared of doing it. My painting is always very “trust the process” but we’re starting to get an idea.

Some Blightlord Terminators currently in very early progress. I can’t really see properly and I’m super out of practice but they’re shaping up ok. This is obviously just base colours.

Jumping into The Blood of Dawnwalker after dinner. Very interested to see what this game can deliver.

Zompete @spikysucculent.bsky.social · 01/09/2026

I’m interested in this Blood of the Dawnwalker game but the whole time management system really irks me as a completionist. I’m not sure if I can get past that point or not.

Having a shitty time atm due to serious illness. I am slowly recovering but it’s not going completely well. Anyway, my lovely fiancée @babbittybabbitt.bsky.social sent me this, unique, card to let me know she was thinking of me.

Zompete @spikysucculent.bsky.social · 31/07/2026

I've been making a massive board for warhammer 40k and simultaneously creating 5 armies of 1500 points each, all while being ill and losing some amount of my vision. Yes. I'm quite insane. Anyway, today army number 1 is finished. Not painted because I can't see well enough Marines Malevolent done

This has now been delayed because I'm dealing with stage 2 hypertension instead. Not because of this. I'm having a great time these days.

Turns out I'm gonna have to go for an emergency brain scan. I don't know when yet. I'm waiting for the hospital to tell me. Safe to say I'm not super enthusiastic about this. Do with that information as you will.

My pookie @spikysucculent.bsky.social surprised me today with a flower delivery, accompanied by a poem by my favourite poet 🥹 life is kinda tough at the moment, but it's made easier by getting to share it with someone so lovely 💖

I’m still a little way from finishing my Warhammer 40K board but I wanted to test a set up given that we have specific footprints for terrain now and my board is awkward. I made my own footprints (official ones are out of stock). It’s not perfect. It’s not painted. But honestly it’s not bad.

Thou Shalt Not Kill - Analog collage

A visually busy collage with natural themes. The bottom of the page contains an ocean and fish scene, above which are hills and sky. On top of all this there are various animals, and much foliage and flowers. In the centre of the page, there is a sun figure with hands cupping flowers, which spill out and pour down towards the landscape below.

My mission was to turn my living room into a warhammer 40k room. I've almost succeeded.

Zompete @spikysucculent.bsky.social · 06/07/2026

Been working on my Warhammer 40k board a lot recently. We're getting close to the opening game on it. That means the bits I'm working on are getting smaller. Today I hand built a bridge. While also starting the bushes that line the river. The bridge is cool. I like the bridge.

I've been a digital only gamer since the launch of the PS5. I own 650+ games, there's simply no way I could store those alongside my hundreds of horror films, and thousands of pounds worth of warhammer. I know lots of people hate it, but for me personally it makes my life way easier.

Hi everyone, I just thought I would pop on here to say sorry for not being around much anymore, I hope you're all doing well and having a nice year 🫶🏻 For me this year is pretty stressful, which is a big reason why I just don't have the energy to post much. I hope you're all okay anyway, much love 🖤

Random. Just in case anyone isn't aware (I wasn't) the PS5 upgrade for GTAV is now completely free. So if you never bothered paying for it (like me) it's available for nothing now.

My first Warhammer 40k Armageddon box is here. Plus a bunch of free stuff from my local shop for preordering. I'm still awaiting the other box directly from Games Workshop. One down though.

As a proud Scot I'm so happy to see the Americans finding out in real time why we're known as the best fans in the world. Also if you haven't seen a video of us singing our national anthem at the game last night check it out. Goosebumps. Like we say "no Scotland no party"

Zompete @spikysucculent.bsky.social · 11/06/2026

Finally put my Warhammer 40k models on a unit. My Space Marines are still boxed up. This is before TWO Armageddon boxes arrive next week. Top to bottom. Adeptus Sororitas (battle sisters) Death Guard (nurgle chaos) Orks Tyranids There are a few more on my painting table but this is most of it.

The final Destiny 2 update is bitter sweet It's beautiful and full of amazing items to collect (like really full). It's a flash of what Destiny 3 could possibly have been. It looks like they threw a bunch of stuff in that they always wanted to And the servers have been patchy Just like old times.

Zompete @spikysucculent.bsky.social · 09/06/2026

I will be logging into Destiny 2 later with my warlock to begin the final goodbye. I've made friends, had unforgettable moments, even shouted at the screen a few times. I was on Destiny day 1. I will be there for Destiny 2's final update. I won't lie, I'm sad this is the end.

Update on my Warhammer 40k board, still an early wip. Just placing some pieces to see how it's gonna look. Starting to get an idea what it'll be like now. (Please ignore the mess around the edges. This is still a workshop currently).

I've not been around much lately. In honesty I've been struggling with social media, and gaming, and people, and the world And even though I'm back in therapy stuff seems to get worse. I do try to improve it, just seems to fail. I miss you guys. A small human connection in my shrinking world ❤️

Haven’t mentioned my Warhammer 40k board in ages. It got painted at the weekend and I’ve just finished painting the rocks. The next step will be putting the varnish in the river. (Excuse the mess, it’s my workshop pre transformation into the Warhammer room). Also hi 👋🏻

Seeing Starfield sitting on my PS5 home screen is kind of surreal in a way. I won't get to play it this evening (it's gonna take 4 hours to download lol) but I'm interested to see how it plays on ps. Not played it much since it first came out. Make a change from hammering Crimson Desert too.
