I guess he also did Batman Year 1, which fares a lot better than TDKR and doesn't share the vast majority of its iffy bits, but those are the only two Batman comics he's been involved in which were remotely good. He's got more Daredevil stuff which is good, but none of it can excuse his repugnancy.

The most successful Trek show of all time if we're honest. No show of the franchise ever got the ratings or acclaim that TNG did before or after. Not even TOS in syndication when it got that boost.

As for Enterprise... well, yeah, that's a mistake and everyone knows it. Though he changed comparatively less I think between season 7 of TNG and the ENT finale.

Well, bluntly put, he'd put on significant weight between season 1 and season 7. No judgement on that, it happens, but he'd have to work out and diet like crazy in a very short amount of time before shaving if he wanted to look like his season 1 self for the finale.

I don't think it's that deep. She already said she enjoyed being in command earlier in the show and took the rank of full commander (a rank she had since day 1) because she wanted to stretch herself. It's not a leap to say she'd want a captaincy and achieve that somewhere in the 20 year time gap.

OK that explains an experience I had where I'd seen this finale dozens of times on VHS, and when I visited a friend's house they had a different version of the episode on VHS with old Q on it. I got so confused because that scene wasn't in the version I saw so many times!

Yeah even in Voyager they did this. I always assumed that was our Q projecting that since he does say he makes stuff interpretable to humans but still, NuTrek took it even further

Speaking of, it's very funny that Riker is left out of all the past scenes. Guess they figured they couldn't get away with him just shaving since he's the one who physically changed the most since season 1. Good thing Farpoint Station gave them an excuse for him not to be there.

It's funny how this two-part episode is more interesting, has better dialogue, is better acted, has fewer plot holes, is more respectful, has more action, and has far more of a point than Generations. Plus they didn't keep randomly switching uniforms for no reason.

I never quite got into the Spider-Man movie games. Spidey 1 2002 was a bit frustrating to control IMO in some ways, and while Spidey 2 PS2 is lauded, I personally think it was bested almost immediately by Ultimate Spider-Man PS2 in just about every way. And the Spidey 3 game was uhh... well, bad.

Why do so many of you still celebrate Frank Miller? He wrote a book about how much he wanted to exterminate an entire ethnic group and has never apologized for it. At *best* he makes excuses for it. On top of that, he's willing to support predators like Neil Gaiman.

Unfortunately that's giving DC too much credit. They never actually told him no. The editor he worked with on all his previous DC projects left the company to go work on a indie company, and Frank took Holy Terror with him. There's every chance DC would have published it.

His main claim to fame is The Dark Knight Returns, a fascist screed about how the solution to violent gangs is harsher, more violent brutality, and that terror and intimidation is the only way to keep criminals in line. Also a violent vigilante gang with no accountability is good apparently.

So while all my other criticisms stand -- the damage to Worf's character, repetitive plots, bad dialogue, annoying character etc... the fact this kid has to suffer for hours in a makeup chair and then on set for this is an abominable way to treat a kid.

Now, granted they probably did a lighter, easier makeup job on Steuer compared with Dorn, but it still would've taken ages to put on and take off, and we know it gets baking hot and sweaty under the prosthetic. The glue alone is infamous for being uncomfortable and hurting to wear.

So I reached the episode Firstborn and realised another problem: Is feel real sorry for Jon Paul Steuer, the guy who played Alexander as a kid. The sheer amount of make-up is difficult to deal with even for adults to put up with. This poor kid must have been suffering!

I decided to give Enterprise the fairest shot I could upon a rewatch. I'm three episodes in, and... I'm sorry guys but Faith of the Heart is a terrible song and an AWFUL choice for an intro. I wouldn't mind a pop or rock song intro, it's just that they picked an unbearably bad and cheesy one.
