Sean🍁 @spiggles.bsky.social · 7hThere is so much to be angry at and I just don't have it in me anymore to carry that anger. Be kind in this world. If not for what it does for others, than be kind for what it does for you. I wish you all a lovely weekend! 😊 000
Sean🍁 @spiggles.bsky.social · 03/10/2026I wouldn't even go as far as calling it desire. The network is trained towards outcomes and governed by it's defined goals. The modus operandi is not how we as human beings operate. 000
Sean🍁 @spiggles.bsky.social · 03/10/2026Rough week. Two of my wife's friends died just days apart. 😔 Appreciate the people around you. They may not be always be there. 010
Sean🍁 @spiggles.bsky.social · 03/10/2026I often struggle with rage as well. I try to look at it this way. When you feel rage about injustice it is because you care. That says good things about who you are. I am sorry you are struggling with this feeling and I hope you find reason to feel better soon. 😊 000

Sean🍁 @spiggles.bsky.social · 03/10/2026I've only seen the first movie. So in essence, it represents a spiritual third eye kind of thing? I don't have any tattoos, but I respect that people get them for many reasons. They are a personal choice and I think they give insight into how people perceive and present themselves to the world. 🙂 110

Sean🍁 @spiggles.bsky.social · 03/10/2026The motivation, if you can even call it that, driving AI autonomous agentic behavior seems sketchy at best. I think it's dangerous to assume human like intentionality in how they make decisions. What walks like a duck and quacks like a duck may not actually be a duck. 100

Sean🍁 @spiggles.bsky.social · 27/09/2026There is a lack of corroboration that makes it hard to determine the credibility of this story. The sources of the story, and it's political framing by pp and the right also raise doubts. It is Horrible if true, but I remain skeptical. 231

Sean🍁 @spiggles.bsky.social · 26/09/2026It's an in person course at the university I used to work at. It's hilarious because I am surrounded by people in their 20s. There are some great online resources for learning Latin. I recommend the Legentibus app which I use daily. legentibus.comlegentibus.comLegentibus | Learn Latin step-by-step by reading and listeningLearn Latin by reading and listening from day one, from beginner to advanced: stories, novellas, Familia Romana, and literature from Cicero to Erasmus. 120

Sean🍁 @spiggles.bsky.social · 26/09/2026It's been a busy September! Since starting introductory Latin, I have come to realize how poorly I retained knowledge of my English grammar from middle school. Latīnum linguam nōn bene sciō, sed scīre volō. 120

Sean🍁 @spiggles.bsky.social · 20/09/2026I read this paper over the summer as part of a "History of AI" course. It very much influenced my thinking on LLMs. In particular the biases that are built in these LLMs due to the nature of the training data, and how it over represents certain groups. 🤔 0130
Sean🍁 @spiggles.bsky.social · 20/09/2026It's not sustainable. There's a cost to all of this which has not been fully felt yet. Too many people think there will be a return to normalcy once he leaves office, but this is the new normal! No country on earth will ever look at the US the same way as they once did. 😐 110
Sean🍁 @spiggles.bsky.social · 20/09/2026Good morning everyone and happy Sunday! It's been humbling to return to the university I worked at for so many years, only now as a student.
