Some more highlights from TGS (and neighboring areas): Visited the Pokémon Cafe without reservation (through the cancellation line) and was treated to a live Pikachu dance-off; the crowd was super into it 🥳

Favorite ones were a Kisida Kyodan live back in 2017; and a recent family festival where NakamuraEmi gave a very chill concert For the first one we had to ask a friend to enter the ticket lottery for us; in contrast the second one was just a ¥1000 fee at the entrance 😅

Some other #TGS25 notes: Played Tanuki and it was more THPSy than expected 🛹 PVKK brought their custom controller and it looks _wild_ 🤖 Hyperfunk had a demo, which I wasn’t expecting 🛼 Checked out the Genki Covert Dock 3 and it works as advertised with Switch 2, so I ordered one 🍄

Returning from #TGS25 ✈️ Capcom is killing it lately, enjoyed all of the titles at their booth (RE9, Pragmata and Onimusha) Critical Reflex had an IRL setup for Buckshot Roulette - the queue was too long for me but it looked very cool

the Blue Prince Discourse is a Thing, so we started a new save to verify our feelings and: you can get pretty damn far even on your first runs as long as you *understand* how the game really works (spoilers in pictures obviously; unless you already reached the Antechamber)

Day One at Mt. Holly - unlocked Garage, reached Rank 8, got code for Orchard, did Shelter Safe, first flame

Day 2 - unlocked Orchard, second flame, two room upgrades, Boiler solved, VAC solved, first Rumpus

Day Three - Antechamber reached, first experiment success, two room upgrades, third flame, minecart moved

Blue Prince reviews are up and yep - this game is a keeper. We’ve played an earlier build back in October and been thinking about this game for the last six months. Can’t wait to be back in Mt Holly and check out if [redacted] leads to [redacted] and whether we finally find [redacted].

Also the game looks honking gorgeous _and_ can be cross played between PC and mobile, which kinda blows my mind (even if it also kills the battery) While I usually prefer playing short, finishable games (like the ones we make), it’s wild to see what these kinds of big projects can deliver.

Started playing Infinity Nikki and enjoying it a lot so far. It’s really impressive to see such a lavish open world in which the main interaction is ~not combat~ Instead you platform around, gather resources, dress up, take cute photos, clean stuff up, etc.
