This local cat was both curious about me and also incredibly upset I interrupted its activities

Well if that doesn't seem like a message of some sort lmao. Yay birthday.

Finished @doublefine.com's Keeper earlier. An experience that really needs no words to be surprisingly emotional, with *amazing* art and music to boot. It's one of those games that is hard to talk about without spoiling anything because of the meticulous way that the story is told and shown. 10/10!

one thing I really like about Lost Records on PC is that you can see all of your videos in your save data folder, and watch or even share them - helps even more with identifying with Swann's photographing or filming everything, especially in nature lmao

Just finished Lost Records' Tape 1... the game far, far exceeded my already high expectations. The 90's vibes, the relationship and experiences between the girls, the mystery, the story is absolutely incredible. Now excuse me, I'll (literally) need a tissue after that ending...

trying it on my VP account, this is probably one of the coolest uses of the open protocol so far - it's basically your Bluesky photos data being parsed by an Instagram-like app

what in the world is going on in the Horrible Place lmao, are they pushing presidential accounts on every search?

Screenshot of a search on X/Twitter for the term "#GTAOnline". The "Top" results tab shows a list of three suggested/related people, with the first being JD Vance (not related at all), Rockstar Games (directly related) and another account simply named Grand Theft Auto (also related).

this certainly has not aged well

A tweet from myself, @SpiderVice, from 31st December 2024, saying "here's to less 2024 games industry disaster", referring to lay-offs.

man, the art for the Steam Sales is always so, so good

Give me a single screenshot from a video game that immediately makes you hear the soundtrack in your head.

2 months ago, Take-Two used some "AI powered" takedown thing, and it ended up taking down tons of entirely innocent, non-leak-related posts it was traced back to an AI thing named Tracer (no not the Overwatch character), much like the one Funko used

Screenshot of a tweet on X/Twitter of a Rockstar Games fan page talking about the introduction of BattlEye Anti-Cheat to Grand Theft Auto V.
The two images in the post were taken down, and say "This image has been removed in response to a report from the copyright holder."

Windows, this new default is kind of no bueno lmao. you can change it but after years and years of seeing the full date it's kinda awkward

what better thing to do for a late night activity than to revisit Super Mario Bros 3 for like the first time in 18 years lmao the amount of time I spent playing these...

A picture of the game, emulated with a TV filter - Mario stands on an icy cave, with a dark glittery background. There are two bodies of water in front and behind him.

on an unrelated (ish) note to my previous post (I'm not calling them "skeets" lmao), the amount of bots I keep getting followed by in the other place is... something

introduce yourself with four video games! (all of these mean the series rather than the specific game lmao)

The official key art for Horizon Forbidden West. The art shows a multitude of things from the game - from the protagonist, Aloy, in the centre-back, to various flying and ground machines, a storm in a blue and brown sky, and a tribe fighting said machines.

Spider-Vice @spidervice.com · 16/11/2024

yes! it's also such a pretty game

me when Bluesky (well the closing door in this case is Twitter)

Max Caulfield in Life is Strange: Double Exposure, on a snowy rooftop, looks at a blue butterfly flying in front of her. The subtitles have her say "When a door closes..."

Spider-Vice @spidervice.com · 13/11/2024

HAHAHA WHAT, I just got this overnight on the *Other Site* This tweet is old and it's not even talking about Xitter blue checks?????? Man am I getting closer to burning my account and keep it to R* community stuff while it still thrives there.

An email from X/Twitter claims that my post was reported and has had its visibility limited due to "violent speech".

The tweet is an old tweet which says: "@Lenlfc *dies of OCD with seeing so many unread blue circles*"

lmao at how obvious it is that MSN have "AI" "writing" articles for them - to the point that the source of a car image is from... the @gtaforums.bsky.social GTA Online vehicle speculation thread Does MS just randomly choose sites it search-engine crawls to get images from I wonder?

Spider-Vice @spidervice.com · 06/11/2024

it does exist!! because the platform is open people have already taken matters into their own hands deck.blue

Impressive visuals & animations as well, some of the best I've seen in a game like this outside the pure-AAA space, proper performance capture transforms a game like this. I'm on PC so I might have to go back with a mod like UUU to take fancy pics, esp. more of the characters 📸

030

Spider-Vice @spidervice.com · 02/11/2024

Max is a character that personality-wise I've resonated with in a few ways since LiS 1, and I think D9 nailed a 28-year-old Max who has been through so much, and will be through more in this game too. Hannah's performance was 10/10, she shows an even higher range of performances in this one!

120

Spider-Vice @spidervice.com · 02/11/2024

Finished #LifeIsStrangeDoubleExposure the other day, thoroughly enjoyed it, it's a thrilling LiS story and a great continuation of Max's story. The soundtrack is phenomenal, as are the characters and all twists and turns. Very curious to see what's coming considering *things*...

130

Spider-Vice @spidervice.com · 29/10/2024

Best video game line ever of course, shaka brah. (holy shit all the twists and turns in Chapter 3 of LiS DE, it's actually incredible so far) (also, this line was in the marketing and I don't wanna abuse Bluesky's content warnings for spoilers so)

ooo an early(ish) number

Let's put some more game photography in here 👀 Still playing Cyberpunk 2077 and the Phantom Liberty bits because not only it's excellent, it also looks excellent!
