I'm still going to stick with my "evil rather than ill". Because evil is chosen; illness is not. Because illness can be treated, to varying extents; evil cannot. Because there should be no blame attached to mental illness. But there's no other option for evil: confine it for life, or snuff it out.

3: Evil: is chosen; canNOT be treated (scads of clinical & research support for that); therefore, canNOT be released; options are life-long confinement ($), or execution. I know which one I prefer. I worked in MH&addictions for the last 30 years of my working life. This is evidence-based.

I love bats, always have. We used to watch them flying at night around the cabin--then the plague hit, and they vanished. I don't have night-time access to the cabin anymore, so I don't know if they've come back................

When ICE hit the streets, something looked familiar. So I went to my old uni resources, & found it--a list of the ch of a fascist regime, consensus-built by several sound scholars after WWII was over, about Germany. If you want the list, let me know. It's long, but terrifyingly relevant.
